Last March we got a lovely deal on Ultimate Park Hopper tickets and would like to do that again next March, but I can't remember how it worked - can you help? We stayed on property Sunday night through Thursday morning, at which point we left for a Disney cruise. Because we arrived late and departed early, the hotel clerk lopped off the first and last days of a length-of-stay Ultimate Park Hopper ticket, meaning we had three full days of park hopping at a reasonable price. In planning for next year, though, we can't remember how much that might cost, or whether this is standard practice we can take advantage of again.

You can do that if you purchase your UPH's at resort check-in.

You cannot do it if you order them ahead of time from CRO/WDTC or if they are part of a package (Discovery Magic, Resort Magic, etc).

You don't mention the specifics about your next stay so I can't help you with prices but you can check the prices for the UPH yourself here on Deb's website.

Golden Oldie, I checked those prices and I'm still not sure what we would then pay - do you know? We will be staying in March 2003, arriving on a Sunday evening and leaving for the cruise Thursday morning, so we just need 3 days (Mon-Wed) in the parks. Last time, same arrangement, we paid $311 for two adult tickets, according to my AmEx bill. Does that mean we paid, in effect for a two-night ticket? Since all the tickets are priced by "nights" and not "days," I'm not sure how this works. Thanks for your help!

Hi yecart!

I am PRETTY sure that you would pay for a 3 day/2 night pass. Because if you would arrive on Sunday and leave Thursday that would be a 5 day/4 night pass. But you are asking for the arrival AND departure day to be taken off - that would be 2 days less leaving you with 3 days/ 2 nights.
But don't QUOTE me on it! ;)

Go ahead and quote Beth on it, she's right.

2 night UPH at check-in: $170.68 x 2 adults = $341.36

Last March, a 2 night UPH with DC discount was $155.84 x 2 = $311.68 which sounds like what you paid.

But this time you cannot get a DC discount at check-in, only on advance purchase. Keep in mind too that there is no guarantee that this will still be the price come March 2003.
