hi everyone. i'm trying to plan a trip in may to wdw w/my friend and my cousin. i usually go to wdw w/my old college roommate in june to celebrate our b-days but we can't go until aug we think. i can't wait that long so i am going to go in may too. i'm thinking of sometime between may 11-23 (i don't know what days i can get off from work) does anyone know about the crowds then? any big groups such as dancers, cheerleaders, tour groups, etc? also- can anyone tell me code and ap rates they had in the past for a moderate for that time? and if anyone can remember-- if ap or code rates come out--- can someone email me and tell me that they are out? i work in an accounting office and i know i am going to be very busy when/if the rates come out so i wont have much time to check out the boards or mousesavers. thanks!

I would suggest booking your vacation with Dreams Unlimited and asking them to watch out for discounts that would apply to you. This is one good way to insure someone is keeping an eye on your vacation for possible discounts.

mousesavers has an email list thing that alerts you I think, you might check that out. Also, if you go to their site, once you open their homepage, it will say in big bold RED letters if there are new discounts available. Bookmark it, it's pretty easy to check every day or two. It shouldn't take more than 1 whole minute. Have fun in May, you will need it by then, I'm sure! :)

Oh, and the crowds should be fine that time of year, lighter than when you usually go in June, but it might still be hot! (but it sounds like you will be used to that)

I went last year around the end of your time period and to me the crowds seemed moderate but not bad. I did not notice any large tour groups, dancers, or cheerleaders--LOL. As far as getting in on the discounts, I second Trekker's advice: book it thru Dreams Unlimited and let them know you want to take advantage of any discounts or AP rates that come out. I did this last August and it worked quite well. My agent automatically changed the reservation for me as soon as the AP rates came out.
