Our middle son just stopped wearing a pull up at night so I have 2 completely out of diapers/pull ups. Our youngest turned 3 in May and I'm planning on attmepting the toilet training on Monday. The idea that we could go to Disney with 3 out of diapers is very exciting :D. I don't mind changing the diapers so much as I do packing them. They take up so much space.

It's hard to believe that we're at a point in our lives where all of our children are old enough to be out of diapers. Not sure if it makes me sad or happy!

Any others working towards being diaper-free for their next trip?

We will be taking our son for the first time in sept, he will be 6 months when we go. We have along way to go before he is out of diapers!!!! I'm alittle nervous going with such a young baby, but we go every year at this time, and with free dining we just couldn't pass it up. I don't know if we are doing the right thing or not, but oh well - we'll be in disney:banana: Have fun with your little boys!!!:dance3:

I think it would be easier to go with a young baby than it is to go with toddlers. Just my thoughts ;)

My son is 29 months and just went on the potty yesterday!! We are going to WDW on 9/22 so we may be in the midst of training...I don't know which would be easier?? If he was trained or not. I am going to ship a UPS package down with my diapers, wipes, sunscreens, other toiletries and snacks! I ca't imagine having to fly down with8 days worth od diapers!!:)

I wish you much success!

My youngest is 16 months & I am planning a trip for August 2008. She will be about 2 ½ then & I really hope she will be PT by then so I don't have to deal with diapers. I am a diaper freak & change them every time they are wet.

I am hoping to start PTing her this fall/winter/early spring. I am really hoping she trains easily since she wants to do what her siblings do (they are 6 & 3 3/4).

OMG to be diaper free for the first time since May 2001. What would I do?

Our 3.5 year old is just out of pullups. He woke up last night at 1am asking to go to the potty! :cool1: He started last week without pullups because DH forgot to put it on for him while I was out for the evening. Over the weekend visit to Grandma's, we had to pull over on the highway so he can do peepee. In the past he would just do it in the pullup, now he screams and yells and do the dance until we could get him to the bathroom.

In 4 weeks, we will be at Disney diaper/pullup free! :banana:To top this off I just measured him and he just reached 40.5 inches tall.:woohoo:

My DD turned 3 in April and we are working on potty training now. By Oct, hope to be pull-up free!! Even just going out now, I throw a pull up in my purse instead of lugging the diaper bag around. Its so nice!

Good Luck Mommies (and Daddies). We found that "impressing the princesses" was a great motivation to get our (then) 2 yr 10 month DD to finish (daytime) potty training before the trip. It worked like a charm. We did keep a pullup on her at night (don't want an accident in the hotel bed!) and on the plane (just know that she would have yelled "I got to go NOW" when the captain announces that everyone has to be seated). We had NO accidents during the trip. It was fantastic. So excited to not have to pack ANY pullups/swim diapers for this trip :) Good luck to all!

My youngest will be 3 next month and as of this week I can say she is fully potty trained! Yea for me! :rotfl:

We just got back from WDW two weeks ago. I was bummed before we left that she wasn't out of the pull-ups, but it was fine. She was trained enough that she went on the toilet most of the time, but we didn't have to rush anywhere to get to a restroom, either.

I can't believe I'm finally diaper-free!!! :woohoo:

We just got the potty princess DD2 (3 next week) trained last week. We are still in diapers during nap time and over night though. We will only have to take a few with us for those occasions so we are excited. I never thought that this would happen. Like the pp, I don't know if I am happy or sad but I still like the idea of no diapers at Disney! YEAH!:dance3:

We took our first diaper-free trip at the end of May, and it was great! Yes, he's growing up, but we didn't even take a bag at all a few days, and it's much easier that he can go to the restroom with DH and DS6 and not have to mess with changing him!

Our 34 month old DS is almost 100% potty trained (we still have some #2 issues, but it's getting better) and we're looking forward to having our first diaper-free Disney trip in November...yay!!

Its possible.

My dd was done at 2 years 9 months after some delays from moving across country. When we finally got settled in after moving back across country AGAIN LOL I started putting her in panties during the day. YES it was a MESS a big one and a pain but with in 2-3 weeks she was finally getting the "feelings" down. It wasn't until a couple weeks into panties only during the day that I noticed her grabbing before the pee. When I told her that when she feels that she needs to run to the potty. The next day she was sitting at table at my moms and yells out "mommy I gotta go potty and ran to the bathroom" from there on out she was pretty well day trained with minimal accidents for a couple months. :) Sometimes they just gotta be ready.

Just wanna warn that for some one being my dd still wet the bed until about a month and half or so ago. She turns 4 in 20 days. Just a thought that you may get day done but still need something for nights for sometime yet. Just depends on the kid. If during the day is what matters than its not gonna be a worry for you. I dunno if a newly trained toddler or a kid in pull ups would be better. Just remember you may not always be as close to bathrooms as the child needs.

I'm hoping we'll get there too, we still have 9 months before our next trip so I've got lots of time still. DD is just 2, but my 4 yr old niece is still struggling with potty training. I pray they are BOTH out of diapers by April - especially the older one!

Good luck to all of you potty training now - that was stressful for me with my oldest and something I'm not looking forward to doing again!

We started potty training on Father's Day - no diapers, just panties and nothing at night but a waterproof sheet on the bed. So far, maybe 3 accidents - wakes up dry but doesn't make it to the potty in time. A few during the day - but mostly not. The only thing is she is having a hard time figuring out is the poop thing on the potty - she tries but doesn't make it! I have to watch her like a hawk.

I have my fingers crossed that by out trip in September she will be a pro! Turns 3 end of July, so I figured we'd get a head start.

Isn't that the truth! My now 6 yo would get off the bus & be freaking out because she had to pee so bad. There were a few times she didn't make it to the bathroom but it was because she wouldn't go in school.

Good luck. I would pack extra outfit, underwear and shoes just in case. DS had been potty trained at 3, and when he was 3.5 I took him with pull ups because I was nervous of accidents. He did very well and I didn't need to have the pull-ups. But, when we went back at 4.5, he had an accident on the way to the bathroom, he just couldn't hold it anymore.

We are also in the process of doing the same!! It will be so nice to be going to WDW either not pregnant and no~one in diapers:banana: We just started 2 weeks ago and actually took a trip to Georgia last week and after only one week she made it the entire way there and back (14 hours each way) with NO accidents!! We put a pull~up on her just there and back and brought her training pants with us for the trip. I am hoping she will be finished by time we go on our trip. She is also our last one so it is a bit sad that they are all growing up:(

Our youngest will be over 4 when we go and she's currently potty training. When she turned 3 I just made the decision to just keep her in underwear all the time, even at night. There's been accidents and it's been frustrating, but being patient has paid off. The only time there's an accident now is if I forget to ask her before bed or she's outside and waits until the last minute to go and then she dribbles as she's walking into the house. I have extra clothing, underwear and shoes with me all the time in the car or in the downstairs bathroom.

She also wants to be potty trained for preschool or she can't go, so we're making sure she's accident free before school starts. I'm mainly concerned with her asking to go in when they are outside. So we're hoping that after a year of preschool, that during our trip to WDW next spring she'll have control in that area.

She's our youngest and she's been more difficult training than her big sister who was trained at 18 months. I keep saying to myself that in her own time she'll get it.

Good luck!
