Hoping the Rain Stays Away-We're Going Back in May-TR started

We just have 8 day park hoppers. Hubby does not wan to do a park the last day. We did lunch at Sci-Fi last year, hubby does not want to go back-boy seems like a whiner doesn't he :rotfl2:. The food was ok but the apple cobbler was amazing!! I am just not a big fan of DHS food.

I'm not a fan of DHS food either. Pizza Planet is ok, but I don't care for any of the other CS places. We stick to burgers at Sci-Fi and mostly just go for the atmosphere.

I like Jordan's idea of throwing in a few more 2 credit places - that way you don't feel like you are eating all the time. You'll have those extra snack credits so you can use those for pasteries & stuff for breakfast on some days.

You can always add another day to your hoppers - don't want to get you in trouble with the hubby or anything, but it'd only be like an extra $10 for another day......... :rolleyes1

Unless you are absolutely a 3 meals a day kind of family, I might do a few more 2TS meals. That way you are not forced to be tied everyday to your ADRs:

For example:

light breakfast (snack credit--apple/doughnut/bagel type)
lunch-CS 1 credit used
Hoop Dee Doo-2 TS
3 credits used

or

light breakfast
Brown Derby-2 credits
CS dinner.

It just gives you more flexibility......just a thought.

Good thought. I am still hoping for a date night. Just have to see how strict they are on the age at the Neverland Club. ALso thought of going to Mickey's Backyard BBQ.

I wish they would get something yummy there!! I think adding another 2 credit meal is a good idea. I think we are going to try and get an early flight on Sun-Hubby would not mind adding an extra day if we were leaving at 5p like last year. And we are updgrading to AP's so I guess we could go on Sun if we wanted.

I agree DHS is not the best for restaurant choices !!! Have you checked out the new menu at Fairfax Fare it does offer some needed new choice !!!

Yep, We are! I am finalizing them this eve. You only like me for my food porn huh? :rotfl2::rolleyes1 I will be sure to take lots of pics for you.

I like your food porn and right now I am jealous of you being in AZ while I am freezing by butt off here in CT! LOL

This is a great idea!

Have you done Hoop? We didn't know what to expect but Juliana loved the show- and we did too! She was watching and singing the whole time. The food was good and the drinks (beer, wine) were included as well. Not to rain on your parade but I've heard many negatives about MBYBBQ. But you have to have your own experiences to form your own opinion. :goodvibes

I did think about Hoop. I also read some neg stuff about MBYBBQ....

Booked our airfare today. First time with the family on Southwest. Got $147 per way from Phx to Orlando. Also decided to do the early bird check in. Now I just need to find a nice person to take us to the aiport at O'Dark 30.

Hurray for flights! That makes the trip that much more real now!!!! :goodvibes

Is that a good price or average price?:confused3

That is a GREAT price! You just lit that flicker of hope that we may be able to return in a year or two. The airfare was my biggest worry, budget wise.

Hello Lovely Dis'ers!!!

Just wrapped up my May 09 TR. We had a fabulous time last year though could have used a little less rain. We are planning to go back again in May with some of our buddies from last year. We have many ideas of where to stay, what to eat and where to go in our minds. I will use this PTR along with help from all of you to figure it all out. Up next, the cast

Hi MaryAz ! :wave2: i, too, am planning a trip for May as well. Joining in the fun for your pre-trip report.

I'll hop in too. I'll have to go check out that TR from May. We are heading in 5/21-5/28. I can't wait to hear what you have planned!

Just today, I've been amazed by how many DISers are planning trips for that May 22-29 week. Looks like there will be a lot of us there! :thumbsup2
