2010 cruise info

Me too!!! Where are you guys finding these prices??? I've looked all over the DCL website and can only find the "prices start at..." :confused3

On the home page for disneycruise.com click on cruises on the top left in the red area. Choose the cruise you would like to view like the 12nt Northern European then right above where the dates are listed there is a link "view rates for this cruise" to get to the price range chart.

Some of the 2010 cruises do not have the link set up yet so when you have the page up that shows the dates of the cruise go to your address bar on the top of your screen and change the word DETAIL to RATES and the price chart will come up

You cannot pull up actual prices until October 14th

Thanks for the tip on RATES! worked like a charm for the TA's:thumbsup2

When Tom was talking about the 'dress up for dinner' event, they were showing a 'castle' that looked a lot like an ornate manor; blue and white, wasn't it - no turrets?

That was Catherine's Palace in St. Petersburg.

Castles and manors are all over Europe so it could be at any or all of the ports that they offer this type of tour.

I think the blue and white building in the video is the Catherine Palace in St. Petersburg: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catherine_Palace I recall that some cruise lines (not RCI) had an evening excursion to the palace for dinner.

Booking the Sept repo and then figuring out later if I can really swing it or not.

We are a party of 6 and we are keeping our fingers crossed for a cat 1 or 2 on either of the 2 June sailings. Our request has been in since our last Med Transatlantic cruise when we were in Roy Suite. Even if we don't get right away hoping we will clear wait list prior to 2010. Anyone else requesting these rooms?

i'd like to know this too.
also does the normal cancellation policy apply, if you cancel far enough in advance you get all your money back?

Not sure if anyone answered this but here is what I got from Disney yesterday:
Cancellation fees are as follows:

Categories 4-12:
89 - 45 Days from vacation start date: Applicable deposit per person
plus the cost of the Vacation Protection Plan

All Categories:
44-8 days from vacation start date: 50% of the vacation plus the cost of
the Vacation Protection Plan

7-0 days from vacation start date: 100% of the vacation plus the cost of
the Vacation Protection Plan

The deposit amount for your cruise vacation depends on the type of
package you are purchasing and stateroom category. Below is the
breakdown of the different packages and categories:

14-Night Transatlantic Cruise deposit for Categories 4-12 is $600.00 per
person. Final payment is due 120 days prior to sail date.
From this I assume that if you cancel before 90 days you get a full refund

This is probably a stupid question, but I noticed that some went to France. Do any of them offer tours to Disneyland Paris?

I believe last time they didn't as the French port was too far away from DLP. The last European cruises had lots of complaints over this so maybe it will be different this year

I was looking at the 2010 European cruises and daydreaming. The funny thing is my DS 13 had said a couple of years ago he wanted to cruise to Russia. :lmao: And now-we can! Where would you fly to if the ship is departing from Dover?

There isn't an international airport close. Easiest way is probably into Heathrow or Gatwich and then bus/train out

For those of you in the know...would Disney provide or help arrange transportation from the airport to Dover? I would feel more comfortable knowing Disney is taking care of that detail. Thanks!

They did from Barcelona airport to the port but I just don't know in this case as there isn't just 1 airport that you guys will be coming in to.

There are castles all over Europe so its probably not going to be that one as remember that will be the first night of the cruise and they wouldn't do a tour that night. It's likely to be somewhere in Germany or France I would assume but that's just my opinion

We talked to DCL today about the hotels for the Baltic cruises - here are the web links for anyone interested in looking ahead.

Park Plaza

Renaissance Chancery

and the Grosvenor

We are planning to have both a pre- and post-cruise stay in London so we hope to stay at one on the way over and one on the way back. I was glad to see that the Park Plaza and the Renaissance both can accommodate four in a room... we had to get two rooms in Barcelona in 2007.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

I've stayed at both the Renaissance Chancery Court and the Grosvenor House. Both very nice hotels. I really like the Renaissance better, but the Grosvenor is in a better location.

For the person who asked about shore excursions-

If you do a google search on Disney West Bound Transatlantic Navigators you should be able to find a link to a site with a copy of the book from 2007. This will give you some idea about what they did on that one (cant post link as not allowed on here)

So did your email from Disney reveal the deposits for the other cruises? Specifically Baltic and 11 Day Med are my interests.

Thx,
Adrianna

No it didn't but on another thread it said that the Baltics & Med were $500 and the 7 day repo was $250 but please don't quote me on this one.
