We're hoping to take another couple with us on our 2008 trip, and decided to get 2 studios rather than share a room. Do you think MS will attempt to put us near each other (I will certainly request it, of course)? I'd hate for one couple to be on a different floor and the other side of the building.

We've never stayed at BCV, so here's hoping there are two studios available at the 7-month mark next week!

well I am sure they will do their best! but truthfully--when we stayed at BCV it is not that big so even if you aren't beside each other it won't be more than a 5 minute walk to meet each other. It is one of the smaller DVC's.

We had my DSis/DMom as guests at BCV one long Mothers Day weekend, and we were on different floors and different wings. However in no way was it a burden. Our best successes in getting units close to each other have been at BWV and VB.

I would not count on it. I have friends there now and their experience is just as Bobbiwoz described. 2 studios, different floors one with pool view, one with Epcot view.

The BCV's is not a large resort. We have had 2 studios many times and they have never been nearby each other but it truly is not an issue. We always meet up down in the Breezeway at the scheduled time and are on our way.

To me, there is nothing more annoying than guests banging on their friends or family members door in the morning to see if everyone is ready to go. For some reason, no one ever thinks they are bothering the guests across the hall who is probably still sleeping.

Meet up in the Breezeway in the morning or afternoon or evening or whenever you plan to leave together, its so much easier!

In November 2006 my family and my sister's family both had booked 2 bedroom villas at BCV and requested to be near each other. I guess we were lucky because we were basically right across the hall from each other on the fourth floor and we loved it. :)

April 2007. Had two studios and requested that they are near one another. When the CM at the desk checking us in and saw the request, she said "do you still want to be near each other?" I said yes, and she confered with the CM next to her who was checking in my sister's family and they essentially gave her a choice between another studio directly across the hall, and one two door down. We were on the 1st floor, so we chose two doors down because we could go back and forth using the patio doors.

It was great. Don't forget to ask when you check in. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I know it is just a request anyway. We've never stayed at BCV, and given that it's not our home resort, I'm just going to be happy if we are able to get 2 studios for the time we need.

good luck, i had MS attach a request on my ressies and my friends ressies that i had booked for her. when we checked in the request did not show on either ressies and our rooms were on different floors, one parking lot side the other lobby elevator side. when i had asked to have the rooms closer, i was told i signed a contract that DVC doesnt have to guarantee any room requests, hmm i thought that wasnt very "disney Like" to say to dvc members. the only request i had was to have the two rooms close to each other and MS said, no problem and MS reasurred me they will be close together. oh i was also told from the front desk if they did move my friends they would have to pay the $30 cleaning fee. :rotfl: the other funny thing is, i paid cash for two nights and i was supposed to have had full cleaning those two days and i didnt get the full cleaning service:confused3
