So I feel so dumb posting stuff on here to people who know nothing about me but these boards help me get through some rough times around my house. And I just want to thank all of you so much! I think in some of my previous posts I have said that my husband and I live with my parents so I can be full time care taker to my grandfather. Now for almost 90 he is in great condition. But on memorial day we had to call 911 because he was having a minor stroke. Well we found out that his kidney failure levels were up from 22.7% to 56.8 % and that is when the ask for the patient to do dialysis but he will not do it which i respect and that basically we would be looking at any day. Well when we were told this I backed my trip up to October 13-23 so that I could be here with him and that gives my mom some more time to plan. Well It will be my birthday this weekend, I will be turning 21 (yes i Know I am a young mom) and my mom came home today and said that one of her fellow teachers wants to sell their pop up and that they would possibly help me! So I am really excited as much as I was looking forward to camping in our 180.00 tents(which we got on clearance from sears at 14.00 a piece we bought both). The only problem is that it may need a little of work but my father has owned his own RV business for years, he is like an RV god! So sorry for a long post but like i said this board gets me through a lot and leaves me something to look forward to!

We got our first popup when my youngest was 9 months old. I carried around a needle and thread for repairs because it was so old that the canvas ripped a little bit everytime we put it up Loved it!! How wonderful that your dad is great with RV's. and can be a help. I hope you get it and have a great time!! I am sorry about your grandfather. Dialysis can be a difficult for a younger person and it is certainly a hard decision to make. What a blessing you must be to him, being supportive of his choice.

Rland8228- Sorry to here about your grandfather- I know it is draining taking care of someone with a lot of health issues. But, you are doing a good thing for your grandfather. Treasure the time that you get to spend with him.

I hope things work out for you with the pop-up, but even if they don't, it sounds like you got a great deal on the tents.

Thank you all very much it is very hard sometimes because he just does not like to be left alone i could go in the other room and do laundry and he follows me I am really praying that we get this pop up I would really love to my father has owned he own RV repair company for years and still does work on resorting and doing things its great! We tried to get approved for a camper a couple of months ago and that was not very successful And yes we did get a great deal on the tents we bought. Sears was having a sale online and the tent was on sale for 179.99 I went to the store to see if they could give me the same price. When he scanned it he came back and said wait a minute got the number again, and then came back and told us he could give us an even better deal, I figured 149 he told us that it was on clearance for 14.00 so we bought both of them so I am very excited but hopefully we can get the RV!

Happy Birthday. Your Grandfather and parents are lucky to have you to take care of things and to lean on. Now to the fun things in life. We don't have a pop up, but a 1983 Pace Arrow that we have completely renovated. Working on the MH has been a lot of work, but also a lot fun. It's definitely more fun than working on the house. If you get the pop up, just work on one thing at a time. Each time you travel in it you will decide what needs to be done next. That's what we have done. Every trip to Disney, we add something new to our list. We have made the MH work for us and that's what you can do for the pop up.
