My husband and I are going down to WDW Nov 15-22.
It will be his first time going there. (my 10th)
Last year he had his colon removed due to 100's of polyps etc. etc...
He does not have an exterior bag .... he has an internal Jpouch so he still goes to the bathroom the regular way.
Now.... he goes A LOT and when he needs to go..... well.... he needs to go THEN.
We were told that we could possibly get a note of some kind from his DR. saying how it will be difficult for him to wait in lines for a long period of time and then take that to MK . That they would give him a special pass to be able to go into the rider sooner than having to wait in the long line.
Does anyone have any info on anything like this?

It's called a GAC (guest assistance card). There is no front of the line access unless you are a make a wish child. They will tell him where to sit and wait while the rest of the party waits in the line.

I can't make a long reply right now, but wanted to tell you to look for threads on this board that mention GAC or Guest Assistance Card.

What you heard about is the GAC, but, as Michigan mentioned, the GAC is not meant to give immediate access, shorten or eliminate your wait in line. What it will provide is assistance from the CMs to have a wait that is in a more appropriate place or situation for you. The GAC is a tool to show to the CMs at attractions so that they know what sort of assistance is needed when people have invisible disabilities (someone with a wheelchair or ecv doesn't need a GAC unless they also have some invisible disabilities). To request a GAC, have your husband go to Guest Services in any of the parks and be prepared to explain what sorts of difficulties he expects to encounter. You don't have to go into a lot of detail or talk about medical diagnosis.

One of the things that would be helpful for your family is to use Fastpass. That is a program where you put your park pass into the Fastpass machine and a card with a return time (a Fastpass) comes out of the machine. You can return to the ride/attraction at any time after your return time; when you return, you enter a special Fastpass line and will be able to get into the attraction with a wait of 15 minutes or less. Fastpass is available free of charge to anyone. You could evven send one person in your party ahead with all the park passes to get fastpasses.

We have always used FastPass for any ride that has a line longer than 30 minutes, and in doing so have rarely had to wait long. Even at the busiest times of the year, we have literally walked-on to the Super Headliner attractions.

Check out resources here and elsewhere for maps showing Restroom locations. Familiarity will offer some assurance.

Take it slow, trying not to do it all in a day. And avoid the 72 oz. souvenir drink cups.
