Hope I'm not spoiled! Need Value fans' input!

one more think to remember - all the values and moderates - have the double (full) size beds - not the queens.

the queens are only in the deluxe and DVC resorts.

there is one queen in the All star music suites.

We gave up on the values a few years ago. Too small, too crowded, too noisy, you name it. We have been staying at POR-FQ and LOVE IT! The extra $$ is well worth it. The resorts aren't as crowded, much quieter and people seem to be on better behavior all around. If there are cheer groups or sports teams, they all stay at the values and their behavior (kids and adults) leaves something to be desired (I won't say anything rude, but use your imagination) We recently bought DVC so we'll be living in the villas from now on, but we would definitely consider giving up our villa to stay at POR-FQ again.

We have done Poly and Pop. We love Poly but it is so expensive as we have to factor in the cost of flights from the UK - around $2800 before we even start to think of accomodation. We loved both, we missed the monorail and not having a table service restaurant at Pop, but aprt from that we couldn't fault it.

The way I look at it is, if you can afford to go in the first place, what's a few hundred bucks to get what you want vs. having a frustrating hotel experience?

I've never considered Disney "Value" resorts when trying to not spend $$$ on hotels. Sure, you've got some cool theming, but you're still going to Disney World no matter what, so you're not missing anything! I always look just off property at the Sheraton Safari or Fairfield Inn. The Safari is as low as $100 and Fairfield at $150. I guess at that point you're getting into Moderate territory, but the rooms are nicer. ;)

I don't mean to sound cold, but if you're going through all the trouble of a family trip to Disney, what difference does a couple or few hundred dollars make? You should be able to cut back in other areas of life beforehand if you're cash strapped, or otherwise it's another credit card payment for a better Disney experience. If I do something like Disney, I make sure I enjoy myself in all aspects. And I am by no means wealthy.

the rooms at values are smaller but at least with me what do I really need the room for anyway? To walk around? For what? Where am I going? lol What do I need to walk around the room for? I sleep, shower, get dressed and put my stuff there, what could I possibly need more room for? For what we actually DO at the hotels, it doesn't make sense to us to stay at Deluxes. The only reason we have to stay at a moderate like POR is because there is 5 of us and it is still cheaper than having 2 rooms or a suite. We would gladly stay at a value if we could.

Never stayed at Pop. However I stayed at ASMO once and enjoyed my stay.

Last May we stayed @ ASMU Family Suite. We loved it. We used the kitchenette every morning. What a money saver. I took with us oatmeal, poptarts, fruit, granola bars for breakfast. We stopped and bougth juice and milk and frozen waffles. Breakfast was quick easy and cheap.

We were in a building next to the pool. Quick access.

The bed in the parent room was a queen with comfy pillows except one that was replaced except one which was replaced quickly The kids said the all three pull outs were very comfy. There was one full and 2 twin size.

Best feature 2 bathrooms. Great for getting ready in the am and when giving little one baths at night. Especially with a family of five the cost was great. I thought the busses moved in and out easily & quickly.
