Jerry at The Timeshare Store just called tonight. (Thanks for letting me know right away, Jerry!) Disney waived ROFR on our 150 BWV, Oct. use year, $70.50/point. No banked points. It has only been a little over a week since we mailed our deposit check and 13 days since we made our bid. Seems like $70 is still a pretty accurate threshold for points at BWV.

Congrats!!

We are currently waiting RofR on a BWV...we bid $72.00/pt. So, if you got through...I'm hoping we're a "no brainer" (although we did have a lot of banked points). Tomorrow will be day13 since we made our bid, and about 9 days since we mailed our contract. Maybe we will hear tomorrow!!!

Once again, congrats!!!

Excellent news! Welcome home, neighbor.

And pixie dust to Beca... shouldn't be a problem.

Post back as soon as you hear. Surely we will be celebrating with you! Can you feel the pixie dust raining down on you?

You guys are getting me hopeful!!! I put a bid on a resale on Tues, (also at $70/point), and it was accepted by the seller within the hour. Now will send the contract and let the waiting begin.!!!

Hi,

Great news!!!! Enjoy!

We put a bid on BWV resale yesterday $70 a point, just a few 2004 points left. The seller accepted in a bout an hour. Our contracts were emailed to us. We signed them last night, I faxed a copy to the agent - Maggie and Shontell at DVCByResale - and overnighted my deposit and original contracts this morning.
We are very encouraged by your success getting thru ROFR and are hoping the same for our contract. Good Luck to all who are waiting!!:sunny:

Is everyone posting on this thread trying for BWV? How strange (and exciting) that could be? Must be a good place!!!

Thanks to all who have posted their success, and pixie dust to all, who like me are "patiently" waiting!! (I am trying SO hard to be patient). Oh forget about it!!! I'm gonna call Pat right now!!!!

Well, I just called...no word on mine...I'm gonna have to work on the whole patience thing!!!!!

Congratulations jekjones1558!!!

Beca: I bet you will hear something by Monday or Tuesday. Try to hang in there a bit longer. It sure is hard to sprinkle pixie dust with my fingers crossed at the same time...!!!

Good Luck,
Calypso

We sent the contract in to Jerry about 2 weeks ago, for 150 points, $70 per point for OKW, Feb use year. I spoke with the TSS the other day and they are waiting for Disney's answer! We hope we will have good news soon!

Congrats jekjones 1558!

I just passed my ROFR about a week ago. So for Beca, rnnomore, and kaseyC let me try and give you some encouraging news. We passed rofr for the Beach Club Villas, 300 points for $70/point. BUT, just like kaseyC there were only a few points left. Good luck to you all!!!

pal6860 Congrats on your BCV!!!

Thanks to all "well wishers"!! I will certainly post when I hear, as I hope others do as well!!!

Sprinking pixie dust for Beca, OKW91, mnomore and kaseyC!

We too are waiting to hear re: ROFR. We overnighted our deposit and original contract Wednesday morning for BWV. If it passed ROFR, this will be our first DVC purchase. Hope to be dancing the happy dance soon! :teeth:

The prices people are quoting here -- are they without closing costs? So, if you're paying $70 point, it's $70 plus closing costs? And, are you paying the full dues for 2004?

Thanks for any info, and best of luck to all!

Judy

The price per point listed do not include closing costs. The yearly maintenance fees are negotiable. In our case, some of the 2004 points had already been used so we agreed to pay maint. fees on the unused points.

Yes...we do pay the prices plus closing costs. You can write the offer to have seller pay closing costs, but my agent said DVC subtracts about $2 per point (depending on the size of the contract) from your purchase price to determine whether or not they will buy them back. Also, people have posted that it seems when DVC can buy back a contract that has little overhead (seller pays closing costs and 2004 fees)...they snatch them up very quickly!! Best for you to pay those as the buyer...it gives you more of a chance of getting it through ROFR.

I am really new at this...so, if more experienced DVC'ers have differing opinions...please add your 2 cents...I am just going off of my limited knowledge!!!

Good luck,
Beca
