Hope everyone's okay: Central FL tornadoes

Just sending hopes that all from this board who live down there are okay. Sounds as if Orlando was unaffected.

Nothing around Orlando its self was hit that I've heard so far, but I know just down I-4 got some major damage. I know a few people who live near the coast who couldn't make it to work today due to roads being closed.

I teach in Lake County, so we got several panicked phone calls from my relatives. Before they callled, I didn't even know there had been tornadoes!

Same here. I had early morning phone calls from relatives (out of state) checking to be certain their vacation destination was unscathed.

Anyone I know who lived in the areas hardest hit were very lucky. No damage to themselves or their homes.

Glad to hear that those of you who have checked in are ok. We get snow ... it's annoying but not destructive. And yet, I can't wait to move south someday!

Yes our phone has been ringing off the hook all day. I had to go into Downtown Orlando early this morning, and the turnpike was a mess, accidents every 5 miles, but other than that are safe here! Hope everyone else is also!
