My DH, who has been a naysayer about the Atkins diet, told me today that he wants to do it! I have been half-heartedly trying to follow it, but hadn't been too successful. Now that we'll be doing it together, I'm hoping it will be much easier to stick with it

Good for your DH and for you. It's always easier when you aren't only preparing your Atkins food for just yourself...less temptation.

GREAT!!!! I was on Atkins for a month before my dh joined me and it is MUCH more easy to follow the plan with both of us doing it. Of course since men lose faster he has now passed me in weight loss but as long as we are doing it together we will both be successful!!

That's great, Nancy. I know it has been very helpful for me that my husband is also on Atkins. You're both going to do great.

Well that is good news like Katholyn says I'm sure it's sooo much easier if you're both on a diet - I struggle when I watch Paul, DH2B, tuck into his bread and butter and lots of cakes and biscuits. But I don't want him to feel that he needs to diet he doesn't need to but I do worry about his arteries

Good for you Nancy. For hubby and I it was the other way around...I had tried every diet but Atkins...hubby wanted us to do it together, so he was doing it alone. We were eating different, etc. Well, that is a hassle..and he was seeing great results and eating great food...I was eating low fat, tasteless food.

So, we bought the atkins books, read up and set the date to start together. So far we are both down approx 30 pounds. We are feeling great and starting to look very good. He has another 20 to go, I have approx 50 to go.

We are eating better than we have in a long time, great food, great flavors..easy to prepare ahead of time for lunches, etc.
