Hoop Di Do and dining plan/TIW

We are looking to do Hoop DiDo with a friend. We have TIW and she will be on the dining plan. We know how to go to the walk up to get our TIW refunded but how do we ensure we are not charged for her and that it comes off her Dining Plan allotments? Thank you!

I don't have an answer, just a thought. Since HDDR is a prix fixe dinner show, you have to pay when you reserve. I'm not sure how a mixed party -- some paying OOP (TIW is a simple discount, a non-factor), some paying using the dining plan -- would be handled by Disney's system. Did you mention that your friend is one the dining plan when you reserved?

We just told the server that the meal was prepaid but then we switched to DDP and asked her to make the correction. She had the charge reversed and adjusted our DDP balance.

It doesn't sound like you've made a reservation for Hoop De Doo yet so it will depend on how you make the reservation.

If it is booked using the dining plan to hold the reservation, you will not have to pre-pay, but you will still have to give credit card info for the no show penalty. When you pick up your tickets let the castmember know one person is using the dining plan and the rest of you will be paying out of pocket and that you have the TiW card.

If it is booked without the dining plan, the full amount for everyone will have to be pre-paid. However, when you pick up the tickets, your friend can use the dining plan and her cost plus your TiW discount will be refunded to the card originally used to book the show. If you use a gift card be sure to keep it because it will be refunded to that card.

To use the Dining Plan and/or TiW discount, they are only valid at certain showtimes and seating categories.
