I think that is how you spell it. We have reservations to the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue. Is it worth it??? It will be me, DH, DD 7 & DD 4. Any feedback would be great. We are in section 2.

I love the Hoop Dee Doo! The show is kind of corny, but my kids really enjoyed it. They still talk about it, and they were only 5 and 3 at the time! The food was really good when we were there. We liked it so much we are going back in June! I think you made a great choice to do it. Hope this helps! Have fun!:goodvibes

Newfie, Welcome to the DIS. You will find lots of knowledgeable, friendly people here to help plan your trip.
In my opinion "worth" is a very personal thing. I don't think anyone can tell you if the HDDR is "worth" it. Only you and your family can determine that.
That said, we love it. You need to understand what it is and if that appeals to you, you too will love it.
The food is very good - not gourmet but it is not meant to be. It is good "Down Home" cooking chicken and ribs, corn and salad and strawberry shortcake, and beer, wine and sangria. It is all you care to eat. We think the food is great.
The show is full of singing, dancing, and lots of corny jokes. There is lots of audience participation and everyone can get into the fun.
We first went in the early 80's and have been back several times since.
I had the pleasure of going with my 2 grandchildren last year, as their father (my son) introduced them to a fond memory of his childhood.
Hopefully you will enjoy it as much as we do.

We have done the Hoop do Doo twice and it was just as fun both times! We have seen it with a group of eight, with the youngest being 10 and the oldest being 80 and everyone enjoyed it!
The food is great and the show is hilarious, Hee-Haw style comedy! It really is a wonderful experience for all! Enjoy the show! :thumbsup2

We've also done it twice and loved it! Lots of fun especially with kids! It was actually the first thing we did on our very first trip to WDW in 1989.

Nice, family-friendly, corny musical show. Lots of food, not gourmet for sure, but still tasty. It is a fun time, but not cheap!

Guess I am in the minority here. It is the one show that i absolutely hated, and I usually like the corny shows.

we did Hoop Dee Doo our first time in Dec. My husband and 7 yr old son were less than thrilled at the thought of sitting through 2 hours of music and dance but agreed just to humor me. we were on the dining plan so it used 2 of our credits.... in the end they both enjoyed it and my husband has told several of his co-workers that are also Disney fans to try it their next trip:lmao:
