Hoop-Dee-Doo using bus service...

Hi-
My family has always enjoyed the HDD on our arrival evening. In the past, we've always had a rental car which, of course, made matters easier. This time, my 20-year-old daughter & I will be traveling together and we plan to rely on WDW transportation. I know it's a long haul to Ft. Wilderness.

How long do you think it would take to catch a bus from the Beach Club to FW?

Hop on the first bus to a park and then head over to Ft.W bus. I would allow myself at least 45 minutes.

Depends on the time of your show - I always take the bus to MK, then take the boat to FW, Pioneer hall is just up the boat dock to the right.

If you hop a bus, just keep in mind that HDD is at the Settlement depot, so if the park bus drops you off at the outpost depot, you'll have to take a orange or yellow bus up to the settlement depot.

If you can take a boat it's much nicer! You can get a bus to Fort Widerness, but then you need to take another bus to get you to Pioneer Hall. You can walk, but it's a bit of a trek. The boat dock is very close to Pioneer Hall. You can get a resort boat from MK to Fort Wilderness, or there is a boat that runs from Contemporary & Wilderness Lodge. I think the boats are the green route and the blue route. The smaller boat runs round the resorts only (they go to all three destinations, just not always in the same order) The larger boats are the ones that run from MK, and they make stops at both Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge, don't get the two confused!

If you are going to take just a bus I would allow 1 hour before showtime, it's better to be early than late! The bus would probably be quicker, but try the boat going back maybe!
