We are considering attending one or both of these dinner shows during our trip. The menus listed on allears list different items for children (for the Spirit of Aloha show anyways). Our children (twins age 7) would prefer the regular menu items over the children's items. Since the meals are served family style at the table do the kids have to get separate items or can they eat the food that is placed on the table for everyone else?

I'm not sure if the kids items are offered as an alternative for picky kids or if it is a mandatory selection that they kids have to eat instead of the regular offering.

Hoop Dee Doo doesn't seem to have a kids menu like the Spirit of Aloha show does (again according to the menus on allears).

Does anyone know what exactly is offered to children at these two shows?

We ate at HDDR with our 2 boys (7 & 4) and they ate the menu items (Fried Chicken, Ribs, Cornbread, Beans, Salad and Strawberry Shortcake). I have heard that if children do not like those items that they may be able to get Mac & Cheese.

We have not been to the luau since before kids so I can't answer that, but I would think that kids could eat the family style meal if they want.

We loved HDDR in October. The boys had a great time. Have a great trip.
