Hoop Dee Doo Show any comments would be appreciated

What about if you don't have kids? Is this still worth doing at least once?

Yes, it's a great show and great fun for adults without kids for sure. In a way, the humor is more for adults anyway since I'm not sure a lot of kids get the humor, but regardless, the show is so fun and entertaining whether you get the humor or not. It's great fun for all ages, with or without kids. :thumbsup2

My kids are a bit on the shy side and have never been to HDDR...after reading LOTS of other posts, we chose the cat. 3 seating. Yes, it's side balcony, but guaranteed front row! And it won't stress my kids out. I thought about cat 2, but read that the back tables on the main floor do have obstructed views and didn't want to take that chance...

I like HDDR so much that we decided to go on our wedding day in just under 2 weeks...we have a table for 27 booked in Cat 1 and we're soooooo excited!! I think it will be a super fun meal in an entire day filled with amazing events! And FYI for those wondering what it's like with no kids - out of 27 of us technically only 2 are actual children...the rest of us act like children so I figure that's gotta count for something :rotfl:

I have gone a couple of times before they started the catagory seating. I really liked it a lot. Now I refuse to go as the pricing is off in the statisphere IMHO. I liked it best when first booked best seats. Also I don't like it when you are a solo dinner and not just here but at most of the WDW table service they try to stick you in the worst possible place which now I refuse and respectfully request another table.

All you can drink wine and beer .... it's definitely not just for kids!!!! LOL.

Thanks for all the info everyone! Sounds like my Dad and Mom are going to love this show, and I am probably going to regret telling them it's my birthday the day before.

One question has anyone tried to take the boat to FW at MK closing time? Is it extra busy? Can the boats accomodate a scooter?

We went just the two of us for our 25th anniversary last year and had a ball! We sat front and center and it was very interactive. We did not anticipated enjoying the show and food as much as we did. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

We liked it and the kids loved it. There is a lot of audience participation and the food is good...fried chicken, ribs, cornbread, salad and all you can drink Sangria or beer. And the dessert is to die for....strawberry shortcake.

The first time we went we had Cat. 1 seating and sat smack dab in the front/middle of the stage. I didn't like that seat. And, our server stayed away from us I suspect b/c he didn't want to obstruct the view of those behind us.

The second time we went, we could only get Cat. 3 seating and sat upstairs. It was okay, b/c the kids were very young and liked to walk around which was easy to do up there. However, I hated, hated, having to swivel my chair to watch the show. Maybe I timed my eating and show-watching wrong but you couldn't do both simultaneously. You're actually seated with your back to the railing overlooking the stage. And the stools are pretty close to your neighbor's seat so the swivel room is limited.

I'd do the Cat. 2 seating if we went again, or another Cat. 1 table but of course, you don't sign up for a table, just a category.
