We are planning on doing the HoopDeeDoo Revue dinner show during our trip in March. What is the show like? What kind of things happen during the show? My 12 year-old nephew is not a fan of slap-stick comedy ....so just curious about what types of things happen during the show.

Also, how was the food? What types of things were there for kids to eat?

The show is lots of fun, but the 12 yo may find it boring.

The show is a musical with lots of "vaudeville" style to it. It is interactive and they celebrate birthdays, weddings and anniversaries.

I think the people that like it most are the little ones and adults. Pre teens and teens may tolerate it.

We just made reservations for our 8th time to see the HDD. Our kids were anywhere from 2-8 the first time they saw the show and they still love it. My youngest was 12 the last time we saw the HDD (last spring) and he can't wait to go again.

Yes it's a little silly but it is always one of the highlights of our trips. Lots of crowd participation sing-a-longs and (like already mentioned) vaudville type humor. Food is decent, although I wouldn't call it fine dining by any means. I'd check out the menu on Allearsnet. If your kids don't like what they have you can make special requests and they'll bring food from the Traill's end restaurant next door (like pizza, mac + Cheese etc).

If you haven't made your reservations yet, do it soon. The earlier you call the better your table location will be.
