Can anyone tell me what goes on at Hoop Dee Doo Revue?
We're doing it for the first time and I don't want to be picked for anything so I need to know what NOT to do. We are 2 adults, no children. Not that I wouldn't go along with it, if I was picked.
Thanks!

I think you are thinking of the Whispering Canyon at the WL. They pick on you if you ask for things....

HDDR is a funny show with singing and dancing. I can only remember one thing where one of the female characters sings to a man (usually older gentleman).

They sing and dance around tables on the first floor.

I don't remember them making anyone in the audience go on stage.

Posters???

At the end, they pick 4 or 5 people to go up on stage for a quick little thing. Other than that, they might "pick on you" and sing right at your table with the spotlight on you...or put the mike in front of you to sing a line or so.
But, I really wouldn't worry about it. Odds are you won't get picked...and it's terrific fun for the whole family!

They also go around and ask people at random where they are from, and if there are any birthday or anniversaries. I dont like to be "picked on" so I usually keep a low profile, dont make eye contact, and pretty much look down during that point. I think the performers do a good job of reading people.

Hoop Dee Doo is something we do, and have done every time since 83. If we were to go and not go to anything else, we would still be sure to do Hoop Dee Doo. We will be there next Wednesday night at the 9:30 showing...can't wait:bounce: :hyper:

We were at one of the center tables in the second row, and we never got spotlighted for anything, not even where we were from, so it is totally random! Of course we had 4 kids with us, so that may have made them stay away! LOL It was great time, and the ones that were "picked on" was such a short duration, and so many, that it didn't even phase anyone. Great involvement, but yet not too much on any one person. Have a great time!

HDDR is fun, I did get picked to be the indian at the end. DW couldn't figure out how to work the video camera :p
Seems they always pick an older gentleman to play the fairy.
