Hi everyone! I have a question regarding HDDR. We've never been and I would like to try it. My kids are DD 17, DS 16 at time of travel, DS 11. Do you think they are to old for it?My DD loves
children and would probably kick out of the little ones enjoying themselves,my sons I'm unsure about. What do you guys think?
Also is it to late for me to make reservations for it should we decide to do it? I've never had a PS for any of our dining plans. We've always gotten a restaurant without any problems, never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seated. Thanks.

HDDR is very entertaining for everyone! I wouldn't consider it to be a children's show. It is corny and hoaky, and you'll laugh yourselves silly. There may be eye-rolling from your kids, but they'll also have a huge smile on their faces.

I would get the PS if I were you.

would love the "Hoop"! It is a really great time for everyone. We all laughed (DD 9 & DD 5) to our faces hurt and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. You really can't go wrong with this!

My DS(15) has been many times and since he was traveling with his friend this time (also 15) he thought he was going to be "cool" about the whole thing......well, it took about 3 minutes and he was laughing and having a good time right along with his brother (2). HDD is great for everyone!! You'll love it and it will be one of the highlights of your trip. Do get a PS though. You'll probably need it and I wouldn't take the chance of not getting one. Besides, tables are assigned as to when you made the reservation, so the earlier, the better. Enjoy!!

HDDR is not a PS - its a full reservation with deposit and it is abolsutely necessary. If you decide to show up without reservations you may - may - get lucky and someone has not shown up for their seats but it is a long shot. HDDR takes reservations up to two years in advance and seating is based on when you make your reservation. Now that being said, we made reservations three months in advance and were seated next to the stage in the front row of tables but I think that was a big fluke involving our late check-in at the podium and those people who were supposed to sit there not showing up because after we were seated there was a ruckus with a group being led to our table and then having to be led to a table upstairs.

It is very adult humor in a lot of partr - but designed to go right over wee ones heads if they are not old enough to get it. Your children are the perfect ages for the show. Tell them to watch Smiling Jack in the band and they will totally enjoy the whole thing if they like to have inside jokes - he kept us in stitches the whole time while we were supposed to be watching the stage. He was our little inside joke for a table of jeuvenile adults enjoying their endless supply of beer.

Thanks guys for responding so quickly. It does sound like they will not be dissapointed. I am calling right now to make resrvations! ;)

We spent New Year's Eve 2003 at Hoop Dee Do and had a great time. The food is not wonderful but adequate but the entertainers work hard and it whole thing is great fun. Enjoy!

Been to the Hoop about six times, not every trip, but we average two out of three trips.

We will go again and again, its great, the food is great, can't wait till me next Hoop.

HDDR is one of our family traditions. The kids (9&7) adore it and I still love it as much as I did when I was their age! (Not that it was too long ago.) It's knee-slappin' fun. I disagree with one poster about the food...we LOVE it. It's simple fare, but delicious. My son raves incessantly about the fried chicken.

Sunday's to start our WDW vacations and on each Sunday we go to HDDR.We love the show and the fried chicken is great. We have seen cast of show change over the year's but all have done a great job with the material. This show just fire's up our spirit's for the rest of the vacation.::yes:: ::MickeyMo :wave2: ºoº
