Hoop Dee Doo Revue

I didn't realize beer was included. are those sangria's included as well?

Yes, it is also included and was really very good!!:thumbsup2

Would you use your dining credits or would you pay out of pocket?

I would pay out of pocket if you were planning a Table Service intensive trip as you can get better value at some of the table service restaurants, but I have used dining credits before, if we had planned a laid-back trip where we didn't worry about a lot of Table Service ADR's.

what time would you book for dining - 7:00ish?

Now that my kids aren't "kids" anymore, I prefer the 7 or later shows. When they were younger, the early one or the 7 was our best bet, rather than the later one.
If I were going on my first night there, I would probably do the early or the middle (7pm) show if I had had a long travel and park day.

We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge so I guess it is fairly easy to get to fort wilderness? I haven' t gotten that far yet in planning to figure out how to get there.

Getting to FW from WL (or anywhere for that matter; just park at the WL) is fun - take the boat ! Make sure you plan to take a boat that arrives at FW about an hour or half hour prior to your check-in time. Or go earlier and see the sights of FW - there's lots to do !

The meal is pretty good for mass-produced food; not gourmet but definitely acceptable. And the included beer, wine or sangria doesn't hurt, either ! This is a fast-paced show, definitely not a laid-back leisurely experience. The entertainment is corny, but still fun if you allow yourself to enjoy it for what it is. . . . . They also utilize members of the audience in the show - my 6'3", 250 lb. husband was chosen to play a "delicate" part in the show - the pics are priceless !

If you have a birthday or anniversary coming up, they also highlight those during the show. All in all, its a great time if you accept it for what it is (don't expect a Broadway production, lol :rotfl: !); a respite from the lines at the park; and a nice way to cap off the day.

The Hoop Dee Doo Revue has been running 365 days a year since the early 1970's. There's a reason for that. IT'S GREAT!

Enjoy!

We always enjoy this! We have always gone to the latest show because our gang was older (teens and now adults). We have never been disappointed even though we've seen the show so many times! The food is good, but it does move quickly. If you want seconds on something, they will bring it out. We always go through two helpings of corn bread. It's delicious! When the cm is trying to clear the table for the main part of the show, I always get a new drink. I can't stand being thirsty during the show. Since we go to the latest show, we try to arrive a little early. The store at FW is very cool and we always seem to find something that we didn't see somewhere else on property. Plus they do take your picture, hoping you'll buy a package from them. The line for this is usually long so you don't want to arrive at the last minute.

Enjoy!
