Is the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue worth two dinning credits? We have never been to it, but hate the thought of using two credits out of 5 to see it. Those of you that have been, is it worth two?

We saw The Spirit of Aloha when we were there 11 years ago, and don't feel it was worth two. So wondering how the Hoop-Dee-Doo compares.

Was on the DDP last October (not free) and had extra points left over so we decided to try it. Had a great time. While to food is okay the whole experience was great fun. We would do it again.

You said you didn't like The Spirit of Aloha, what did you not like about it, if I may ask. We're trying to decide to go to that one or not.

If you plan to get about $30 worth out of each TS credit, it's probably worth it.

If you want to get more out of your TS credits at places like Le Cellier, Coral Reef, and Wolfgang Puck, it's not worth it.

We did Hoop Dee Doo in September with free dining. Since it was free, I had no reason to complain. However, I still had this nagging feeling that I wasn't using my credits well.

The spirit of aloha was ok, but we didn't think the food was that great or worth the cost. But that was 11 years ago so it probably has improved since then.

Honestly, the Hoop-Dee-Do-Revue was seriously not good. We just thought that it was really "cheesy". I wouldn't waste the 2 TS credits on it!!

we paid oop to do it outside the DDP and it was WORTH EVERY PENNY

DS3 & DS1 loved it and were dancing along

We paid oop when we went 2 years ago and loved it. Our DDs (6,13, and 16) had a great time. We'd do it again!

I've heard it's really good, but consider that if you use your DDP credits you can only get category 2 or 3 seating and it will cost 2 TS credits. If you pay OOP, you can get better category 1 seating, and you'll have another TS credit free to use for a signature meal, CRT, or just another sit down lunch or dinner -- maybe even a character breakfast or breakfast at Boma on your last day before you leave? Just a thought...

We did the HDDR last September when we had free dining. We had 2 children with us, 8 and 4. We all absolutely loved it! We did it toward the beginning of the week and the kids asked every night after that if we could go again. The show was hysterical!! I thought it was worth every bit of 2 TS credits.

I've been debating this myself. It's just going to be my aunt and me so no little ones. The menu pretty much looks like Whispering Canyon Cafe and we already plan on eating there so I think in the end we're going to skip HDDR.

We think the HDDR is much better than the Luau. The show is more fun and entertaining. But if you don't like corny jokes and general silliness it may not be for you. For us, this show was worth 2 credits; the luau was not.

We absolutely thought it was worth the 2 credits. My kids had a blast! Heck, my husband and I had a blast.

I guess I am in the minority here but I don't got all the Hoopla over the Hoop Dee Do. I thought it was a complete waste of my time and money and would never go see that show again! I may have been exhausted from two days of touring and the extreme stress of being there on time.

I did not use my time wisely and the next thing I knew it was time to get going to the Hoop Dee Do. It's a long story but by the time I got there I was so stressed out that I really couldn't concentrate so maybe all those 'witty' jokes were just going over my head. But if a show is worth anything my thoughts shouldn't be wandering during the middle of it even if I am tired!Maybe the problem is that I like witty humor not cornball, tacky humor. I saw Bob Jackson at POR and thought he was hysterical!!

I moved my reservation to 9:30 so I could upgrade to tier 1 seating. My seats were great but then all I could get out of the show was how much mileage was on some of the performers faces. Sorry that probably isn't nice but wow couldn't they do a better job on their makeup?! Also had a front row seat to every flaw in their costumes. I know they come in on a stagecoach but this is a dinner show couldn't they polish their shoes a little? Then I had the not so fortunate experience of the chubby guys character flirting with me throughout the show. Yuk! My five year old liked it but I will never waste my money on that dumb show again. I don't get what all of the fuss is about!!!!

Thanks for all the advice. I still don't know. I'm not big on cornball humor, my kids DH, DD17, DS14 & DD8 love Monty Python & the HG, so they might like it.
Is tier 1 seating that much better than 2 or 3?

My kids LOVED it. It was pretty funny, but full of bad puns. We had a front row table (could rest my arm on the stage)...and I have to agree with kahliasmom. Being up front isn't the best seat for this one. Loved getting sprayed with sweat.

I did not like it at all! I would not waste 2 TS or my night there! Just my opinion! Too "rustic", food in buckets, I guess I don't like the whole "Hee Haw" thing!

It is definitely like watching an old episode of Hee-Haw. We hated it! DS7 couldn't understand why we were there. The food was just OK - good ribs, nasty dessert... AND the bathrooms are outside! We will NEVER go back!!!

I really think its a fun time once in a few years. If I went every year I wouldnt make it a "must do" on my list but maybe every 5 or 10 years. I saw it in 1995 and then again last year and I could still recite the same old cheesy jokes I remembered before the preformers got to them. The food I thought was awesome and if you consider it more dinner with a show than a show with some food, its worth the money I feel. Besides the cheese factor there are a couple things I dont like but have nothing to do with the show really. When you first get to the site there are no real waiting areas and if you have an early show its darn hot on that asphalt. You feel like youre on a cattle drive when the doors open but then again when do you not have that feeling at disney. Lastly there is the run for the boat at the end. That line fills up fast and some people can be very un-Disney-like after a day in the parks with little ones in tow. Over all Id say do it, its worth it, at least once. If you dont like it, dont go back but at least experience it.
