I called for ADRs and to my suprise was able to get into the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. I thought that this was typically sold out and people had to wait a loong time to get ressies. Am I wrong?

What do those of you that have been to it think about it? Worth it? Skip it? Its me and my DD 13 for the show.

Looking forward to reading all your responses.

I think it's a hoot and everyone should try it once. Our then 16 and 14-year olds thoroughly enjoyed it; it appeals to all ages. And the food's good, too!

We go every time. It has become a tradition with us. My DD (12) loves the show and the food. She is a picky eater. A must do!

My DH laughed his head off during the entire show... his stomach actually hurt. The food was great. I hope you two get up front like we did. We actually were "part" of the show at times!! Enjoy!

Just saw it last Wednesday and loved it!!! The food was wonderful. Best chicken I had in a while. My 7 year loved the ribs. The show itself was a hoot!! :goodvibes I don't think I have ever heard my 9 year old laugh so much. Half way thru the show they both said they wanted to go again next year. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. :goodvibes

We went a few weeks ago and LOVED it. Me, DH and 2 DD's 16 and 6 and I can't tell you who laughed more. The show was great and so was the food and service.

Definately go I'm pretty sure you both will love it. We went in 04 with an 11yo girl and a 13yo boy and they both had a blast and were literally falling off of there chair laughing. When I scheduled our trip for this year I told them they could all pick one restaurant to return to Hoop de doo was the vote for every single person in my family. We will be there for dh's 30th bday on 12/1 and we can't wait. The only thing my dd said she would do different is they serve the salad first and remove it when they bring the other food out well she loved the salad and she said she will not be letting them remove it this time.

We hated it, but I think everyone should form their own opinion. So, I'd try it out. Sadly, we also hated the food, but many people like it. Let us know what you think!!!

My family enjoys it alot. We have been 4 times, this year with 3 "new" members of the family and they loved it too. I go for the show, not the food, although the food is OK - but it's the show the brings us back.

The kids enjoy the show. We tolerate it -- we mostly enjoy how much the kids enjoy it. We were there a couple of weeks ago and thought the food had declined in quality (if that's possible). Just not very good.

Also, I think it's only worth the money or TS credits if you have a really good table toward the front. Since you're booking at the last minute, that's probably not likely. You may want to try the 9:30 p.m. show -- more likely they'll have good seats left for the late show.

DF and I really enjoyed HDDR! We had a table front row center so we liked being part of the show. The food was great...esp. the strawberry shortcake. We are definetly doing this again next year and I plan on making those reservations this week! :thumbsup2

First time we saw it we were at a table near the stage and we loved it, funny show, good food etc..

Next time we went we were in a table near the back and I just couldn't see or hear as well. The severs and photographer people milling around were really distracting and so the show was not as good for us.

We are going again in December so I'm crossing my fingers we get a decent table near the front.

LOVED IT! My ds,8, asked if we could see it twice on our next trip!

Love it. We have been there at least 10 times and absolutely enjoy it. And we love the food. WE visit Disney twice a year with usually 15 people and everyone loves the chickan and ribs. We are going in October again with 19 people and can't wait for the food. The show is awesome also. It is worth trying.

Having never attended a character meal, are the seats for this show "reserved" or on a first come first served basis from the time you arrive? Will you know ahead of time where your seats are when ordering so you can decide if you want to see the show? :confused3

They are reserved seating that you have to pay ahead for..they will charge your credit card when you make the ADR. They will sit you based on when you made the ADR so the earlier you do it the better your seats. You find out what table you're at when you check in..about 30 mins before hand. At that point it's too late to cancel or you would lose the money. I think it's a 24 hr. policy. When we checked it we had table #13 but that turned out to be front row, center. Go figure! :goodvibes
