Hoop-Dee-Doo, 5 pm show, 5/24
We did not do this for the food, and a good thing too. My kids wont eat fried foods, not even chicken nuggets, so eating the chicken was out of the question. Ive had chicken aversions since getting pregnant on and off, so I didnt even want to see it. My DH said it was OK, but nothing beyond that. The ribs were good. I ate a few and so did DS4. My DH ate a bit, but more or less stuck to the vegetables. I ate a lot of the salad in the beginning, so I hardly went away hungry. Our server brought out Mac-n-cheese for our toddler about half way through the meal. DS4 ended up eating a lot of this. I wish she had done so much earlier in the show. Drink refills were prompt and plentiful. Service did not lack, but I could have used more pre-bussing. The tables around us with different servers were much better at this.
The show is corny, but funny if you just give into it. Our toddler danced and clapped along during the numbers. It was one of the times while here he wasnt fussy. Our preschooler, who did not want to leave the MK to come here, also really enjoyed himself while here. While Im sure we wont do again the next time were at WDW (probably doing Spirit of Aloha next), Id do it again. My DHs favorite part was that we had already paid for it and he didnt even need to think about the tip.
Oh, our seats were really good. We were in the middle of the stage, about just short of 1/3 of the way back. We only decided to do this Disney trip a couple of months before going (March) and didnt even book our show till a few weeks later. I, personally, wouldnt worry about making reservations at the last minute. It really looked like there wasnt a bad seat in the house. DH even said he might prefer sitting up in the balconythere were times were we didnt have the greatest view (i.e., when the actors were up in the balcony).
