I know there is probably a thread about this one but I cant find on. I would like to know anything any body has to say about it. Im thinking about trying to book it for august! please let me know!

I put off going to the HDDR for years. I thought it sounded too corny, didn't think I'd like the food, etc. A few years back I decided to just go ahead and book it. Now it is a "must do" for my family! Our kids absolutely loved it, my DH and I really enjoy it. It is just such good clean family fun! They are so accommodating as well. Our family doesn't like bone-in chicken or baked beans, and I just call ahead a day or two and they provide us with boneless chicken tenders and an alternative side dish, like mac n cheese. Our waiters have always known that we had these special orders before we even mentioned it. Go. You won't regret it!:thumbsup2

I booked this for our May trip. I booked the 9:30 show since we don't have children and it was said that it's less rushed at the last show. I've been there before and it was a good time!

We've enjoyed HDD every 2nd/3rd trip since I can't remember when. It's wonderful. It's not fancy, just fun. Don't miss it. :thumbsup2

We've done both and they're both good. Don't really have a preference.

I just booked for July 3rd. It will be my 11th time over 25 years. I went last year for my birthday with a group of 7, ages from 12-47. 3 of us had been before and 4 had not. Everyone loved it. I am taking my niece and nephew next for their first trip, and they are 6 and 8.

The food is decent, I like the sangria :) and the show while it is corny is fun and we all laughed like dopes over the silliest jokes.:lmao: They do a lot of audience interaction and then chose some people to be in the last skit of the show. We had cat 1 seats, I think it was table 22, which was 1 table back from the stage and really great seats. We saw the 5pm show then, but I have booked the 9:30 this time due to our schedule, but I did not feel rushed at the 5 show.

It is a lot of fun overall, although getting there was not much fun. Allow plenty of time. We drove in and parked, took the bus to Pioneer Hall and it was a bit of a drive. We got there within 5 mins of start time.

It does get a bit chilly inside with the a/c.
Ps.. the Hoop-de-doo even has a myspace page, with videos and pics..

Have fun if you do go!

We did this just Dh and I and then again with our family (10 people) last June. It is just so much fun. The fod is good- not fine dining but decent ribs, chicken etc. We drank so many pitchers of Sangria but we were adding seetner because it was a bit tart:rotfl: My brother in law started it and I was like what the heck? but it did taste good lol! Not a big fan of the dessert but I was so full by that point it didn't matter.

We had Cat 1 seats and we enjoyed the show. I was concerned about it being too corny as I had made the reservations and I was not sure if our friends would enjoy it. We all had a good time and the food was really good. Not sure if the show would be a "must do" for every trip, but I could be convinced to go just for the food. If you have not been I would say.........give it a try, you will probably enjoy it. :thumbsup2
