Going to WDW in Sept. with my family and we have reservations for the Hoop Dee Doo review. Is it worth the money? I don't know much about it.

Thanks.

Hi:

We were there in March 2002 and had a great time. Pricey... Yes Fun... Absolutely

Food was actually pretty good... show was outstanding... yes it's corny but extremely fun. We were right next to the stage and I think that added to the fun. We are headed back there also in late September of this year and have made our reservation... won't have as great of a seating location but I'm sure we will have fun.

I hope you enjoy yourself.

My DS9 and I attended the HDDR in April. It was a blast and good food too. Most definitely worth the money. No questions!!!!

Hoop-Dee-Doo!

Hey NBFUN,
If you are like our family, by the time you have stuffed yourselfwith very good food (all you can eat, including wine & beer), and laughed till you hurt, you will have forgotten how much it costs. Also remember that tax and tip are included. We think it is one of the best things to do at the World and will be going for the 4th time this coming August. Have a great time!!

We feel it is worth the money especially when you figure in the cost of the food, drinks (wine and beer too!), tip, tax and entertainment. It was the major hit of our last trip!

The answer is YES for all ages!!!::yes::

Welcome to the Dis Boards, glad you found us.We've been to HDDR several times and we love it.I would say it is worth the money some would say no.I think you should try at least once and form your own opinion.:wave2:

We can't wait to see the show again in August. My boys are 7 yrs apart in age and both loved the show.

We thouht the food was very good. My husband and I loved the chicken.

The show was very funny and very worth the price.

eat FAST!

the food serving (and removing) is integrated into the show (unless that has changed)

I think it's a good multigenerational experience. We had fun, and the adults laughed and the kids really had a blast. Food was good, performers very talented.

I have no interest in seeing it again in my lifetime, however. Oh, I'd go if I was with somebody who was interested. I wouldn't mind. But I wouldn't seek it out for myself a second time.

I know I'm in the minority -- when I was planning to go I read so many glowing reviews that when my socks weren't completely knocked off, perhaps my expectations were just a shade too high.

I've been to the Hoopie Dee Do Revue twice and had a blast both times. It's corny yet funny and the Sangria is great. Secondly they have audience participation and my three year old son was called up to play the Marshall and my father was the Angel during a trip a few years ago. So beware you may end up on stage but its well worth the money.

"Multi-generational"...yeah! My entire family across 4 generations loves this show! Don't think of it as paying $50 for chicken and ribs; remember it is a dinner show, and that tax, tip AND beer/wine/sangria are included! Where else can you find an all-inclusive dinner show for that price? We think it's one of the best VALUES in all of WDW!

We did the HDD for the first time this past Dec. and found it too be worth every penny paid. The show & food were both very good.

We just did this show last week for the first time and we ALL loved it! (me, DH, DS9 & DD5). I liked the chicken and DH liked the ribs. The bread was also good. (there is also salad, corn and beans) Strawberry shortcake for dessert so save some room!

It was our first time over to Fort Wilderness so that was something different to see.
