Okay, my mom and I have been to WDW probably around 30 times by now. However, we have never done the Hoop Dee Doo Review. I know there are two show times. Which would you recommend? Also, how do you get to there and back? I am afraid if we do the later show it might be hard to get back to the resort without a car.
Thanks!

I would do the early show but that is only my opinion, we prefer to eat early.... the show is good and my family and I really enjoyed it. We drove to it and you have to park and take a bus back to the dinner. Buses are there waiting for you when dinner is over, they take you back to the entrance where I am sure you could pick up a bus to your resort.....

Driving is fine, the internal bus will get you to/from the parking lot and show no matter wich show you pick(I think there are 3). If you are relying on Disney, the MK is your best bet for a transfer point, the boat from MK to FW will drop you off right by HDDR. If you attend the late show and the MK is closed(maybe even if it isn't) there will be buses just to the right as you exit the show to get guest back to the resorts. Several resorts will share a bus and CM will be there to direct you.

HDDR is a fun show for all ages and the food is good, pick whatever time works best with your other plans and enjoy.

We did the later show and I would recommend going to that show. I've actually heard the later show is supposed to be better too. I can't verify this, as I've never been to the early show however, though we did have a blast when we went. And to get back to your resort, take the boat back over to Magic Kingdom. If Magic Kingdom happens to be closed, take the resort bus from Fort Wilderness to Downtown Disney. From there you can pick up the bus back to your resort.

I really enjoyed the later show. That's the one I recommend.

You get there using any method of transportation that suits you. I took the
monorail to the Contemporary so I could check out that resort and then took
a boat over the Ft. Wilderness. It was so much fun!

After the show there are busses to every resort available. You hop on the one
to yours and they take you back.

There are 3 shows, 5, 7:15 and 9:30. If you take Disney transportation(boat or bus) to Pioneer Hall, after the last show there will be busses waiting to take everyone home. There are 5-7 busses and each take folks from several resorts. The AllStars are grouped, the Epcots, etc. You are much better off not driving to FW unless you have a doctorate in Internal Bus Routes.
(edit) you can use the DDP for Cat 1 at the 9:30 show.

Last October we decided at the last minute to do the HDD and could only get into the late show. We've always done an earlier show on previous trips, but ended up enjoying the late show more because there were fewer people there. That meant we were closer to the stage and had more interaction with the actors.
