Not sure if I should post this question here or the resorts board. We will be going to the Hoop Dee Doo at 7:30 on our first night at WDW. We are staying at the Dolphin and wanted to know the easiest way to get to the Hoop Dee Doo from there - bus , boat or car. We will have our own car so drivng will not be a problem.

Thanks!!

I would take a car to the Fort WIlderness campgrounds but once there you need an internal bus to get you to HDDR. These buses every 5 minutes so that is no problem.

Dona :wave2:

We are staying at the Boardwalk and don't have a car. How do we get to the Hoop de Doo?

From the boardwalk take the bus to the MK then the boat over to FW.
Or go to another park and take the bus to FW.
Either way its not a direct route and will take some time.
The third option would be a cab from the front desk.

(LOVED IT!!!) and did the "Hoop" back in November. We had our car there but did not want to mess with it and staying away from the car makes it feel more like a total vacation to us.

We took the boat over to MGM and than caught the Disney bus over to FW. Our bus driver took us directly to Pioneer Hall without having to take the tram up to the Hall. When we left, we were planning to catch a bus to Epcot and than walk back to the Dolphin. Instead, the very first bus in line said "Swan/Dolphin"!!! Was a very pleasant surprise!!! We had heard that you can't always plan on a Dolphin bus but that it is occuring more and more (probably since they can send the bus to the Swan, Dolphin, YC, etc.).

We loved the show and dinner!!! ENJOY!!!!!!!!

Thanks Kapp! It is great to hear from someone who just got back and has good news about the buses!

Thanks

car, car, car! We stayed at POR and while it was easy getting to fort wilderness (MK boat) it was horrible getting home. You take the internal bus to the main bus stop and then you wait. There were probably 30 of us waiting for a bus. All the buses were the internal buses. We were willing to get on any bus at that point. Finally a Downtown Disney bus came and we took that followed by the boat ride back to POR. It took us 90 minutes to get back to our hotel after the show.

I would take a car. We stayed at the Poly July 2003 and seemed like we had to wait forever for a bus back.

Thanks Everyone! We just found out that 2 more families will be joining us on our trip - they are also staying at the Dolphin. I think we will be driving our own vehicles to Hoop Dee Doo - it will be easier .

Thanks again!
