Hoop Dee Doo Beer?

Not that we'll base our decision on whether to do this completely on the beer, but.....my husband is a beer snob, so I'm wondering what kind of beer you get. Do they just plop down bud light, or do you get a choice?

Hate to have to tell you but there is only one choice and it is Bud Lite, I think. For sure, it is some tasteless domestic lite.

Yep--Bud Lite. If you can really call that beer.
Too bad, because there are few other of the "usual suspects" at Crocketts Tavern. So what I do when I go is get a beer at Crocketts first. Then during the show/dinner I get Coke...that's how much I dislike Bud Lite!!!

So, should I break the bad news to him now so he can have time to prepare for the fact that he'll be drinking bad beer (or no beer).....or should I keep it from him and hope that the day of the show he'll be so overwhelmed with Disney excitement that he won't care about the beer?

I'd break it to him now--if he is looking forward to some beer, and when they plop down that Bud Lite--that could even overcome a Disney moment.
Do try what I do--get there a little early, go to Crocketts, and he can at least get a Corona, or Sam Adams. Go out on the verandah, grab a rocking chair and wait for show time. Inside, he'll at least had the small satisfaction of having something other than Bud Lite.

Spinoff.....are there any good microbreweries at WDW? We love to taste the local brew wherever we go.

Big River Grille and Brewing Works, on Disney's Boardwalk.

Big River grille does have some good microbrews--I'm fond of their Wowzer's Wheat.
The best (ie-largest) selection of beer in one spot at WDW is at the Crew's Cup Lounge, over at the Yacht Club Resort. 30+ offerings (tho many are the "usual suspects").
I'm told that there is a restaurant in the Disney Hotel Plaza area--the Outback, in the Buena Vista Palace--that has a lounge with quite a few beers offered. Never been there myself, nor have I ever seen a post about it---.
