Hoop-Dee-Doo at 6:15

Has anyone had success booking HDD at 6:15 recently? I could not get a spot for late August/early September and have checked back several times with no luck. Have seen on other threads that others have run into similar issues.

So is there a problem or is it just really hard to get that time?

I've been trying for between Aug 27 and Sept 3 for a couple of weeks now; nothing has come up for the 6:15 show. I've only seen 4 and 8:30. I'm wondering if there is even a 6:15 show available on those nights as I've never had an issue getting that time in the past.

I even called to check and the woman indicated there was a 6:15 show and there were no seats available. "People like to eat dinner around that time" was her reasoning. But it just sounds like it's impossible to get that time, are they reserving it for VIP's or something?

I'd buy that all of the category 1 seats were taken, but nothing at all being available? I'll chalk this one up to the CM not knowing what they are talking about, it's been known to happen from time to time.

I also checked about 15 other dates in Sept and the 180 day mark from today, nothing available, for any category. Seems strange.

So glad to find this thread! We have been trying to book the 6:15 show for October 23 since the booking window opened, and there has never been availability. In fact, my husband swears he booked for 6:15 originally and was moved to the 8:30 show! His theory is that they are holding back the 6:15 show until the less popular shows are at a certain capacity. I hope that show becomes available, who wants to eat dinner at 4:00?

A few weeks ago I talked to a Dining CM who investigated. She could see what I was saying and stated it was not available to book, not full. She didn't know why and said to keep checking it is now at least 8 weeks where the 6:15 show has been unavailable.

I have never had a problem booking the 6:15 show the last 4 years, but I always book it at my 180 day mark. I had no problem getting the 6:15 show for Sept 8th, on our 180 day mark this time. Maybe they booked up fast since the 6:15 is the more popular time folks would like to eat dinner. I would just keep checking, and hopefully you will find an opening. Good luck!

We too have been trying to book 6:15 Hoop Dee Doo for October 29th since our 180 day window opened up. I called and a CM told me there is a technical glitch, that Disney is aware of but hasn't been fixed yet. She said to keep checking back. I knew there was no way an IT team would take that long to fix a glitch, so I figured she just didn't have information...or wasn't able to share information. She did say the 6:15 is their most popular show so they wouldn't cancel it (and leave the 4:00 & 8:30 shows around it). If you play with the website, June 1st is the last day you can book the 6:15 Hoop Dee Doo. I do wish they would give us info so we can play our day accordingly.

As I stated above, the CM I spoke to stated she could see that it was not bookable - not that it was full. The 6:15 slot has been unable to book from mid September through the current mid November.

I was able to get 6:15 for August 30 but made it at our 180 mark. There was a computer glitch though and I couldn't make it online at 6am. I to wait until 7 and call.

There have been several threads recently (in the last 6 weeks or so) on this point. No one seems to know. Bama Ed

1) There could be a "hold" for conventions.
2) Hotels and restaurants frequent block out a number of ressies for large groups.
3) When the "reservation period" is over for the group, the held ressies are released.
4) This is usually at the 45-day mark.
5) Some examples of rooms with "holds" are for major conventions (like the computer User Group) and for large Disney marathons.

Here is another twist to this 6:15 saga. We have reservations for Oct 1 at 6:15 that I booked at 180 days out. I thought I was in the clear since I have a confirmation number and paid Disney over $400. My MDE has the reservation linked but the picture is just a grey Mickey head, no menu or other info for that matter listed on it other than my confirmation number and guest info. I've called 3 times to try to get more info and ensure my reservation is still valid and I've been assured it is. Really hoping I don't run into problems down the road. I made a back up ressie elsewhere just in case.

Good for you!!! I have been trying for October 26th since my 180+8 day. There have been multiple reports since mid September through to early December of no 6:15 ability to book. I have talked to CM's twice and they both told me they could see that it was unbookable, but didn't know why. So other than your ADR, that is about 10 solid weeks of no availability at 6:15. 4 and 8:30 have been wide open.
I try at least once a day, every day. We are booked at 4, but I really want 6:15
