Hoop Dee Do or don't

Me and DS14 are going again this May - it's our 3rd trip to DW. The 1st year we did Spirit of Aloha and last year tried Hoop Dee Doo.

Hands down, we loved HDD more. Maybe it was due to the fact that my teenage son was getting flirted with by the actresses on stage :)(we were Cat 1, front & center)

We thought the food was great - like a hometown barbecue kind of feel - and the service was excellent, it was high energy and a lot of fun!

It was the first thing I booked after my trip.

:thumbsup2 Don't miss it! My kids always request this show....going again in June. Lots of family fun:dance3:

Hoop De Do Do Do!

We have been twice and loved it. Would go back in a heart beat!:goodvibes

Also, it can't be over-stated... free beer! If I could only do one TS on a trip I would choose this one.

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't exactly consider Bud Light "beer". But in the end included is included so it does it's job. :thumbsup2

Sounds like you definitely want tier 2 for price versus claustraphobia.

I would make a reservation over the phone and explain the height and claustraphobia issues. With cat. 2 seating you can still end up in a balcony (center stage), so if you want to play it safe sometimes it's best to call and talk to an actual person instead of booking online. You might even be able to request a table in the back, this way if you need to slip out for a few moments you can do so un-noticed.

My entire family loves HDDR and it's a must do for us every trip.:thumbsup2 We were just there on my DS's 10th bday to celebrate.:yay:

I don't know why, but even though the show is essentially the same for its entire run, the show that we went to a few weeks ago was the funniest we've seen and I laughed my tail off.:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2: Six Bits was especially funny.

To be honest though, the food was the worst I've ever had there. Everything was cold and the fried chicken was 1/2 the size that it used to be. Let's hope that we got the kitchen on an off night.:confused3

HDDR is a must for our family as well. We did Spirit of Aloha one time and that was enough. We have sat in all the different areas but didn't care for the balcony, I am also afraid of heights and was a little on edge. Only a month until we go and this is our first night kickoff meal!!!:woohoo:

I LOVE Hoop Dee Doo. I loved it at the age of 8 and I loved it 22 years later at the age of 30. I know some people think the food is less than spectacular, but I thought it was pretty darn good. My gf and I are going in March and I'm contemplating looking into getting ressies for it this time too.

What is on the menu? Allears just lists salad and bread to start, then chicken, ribs, potatoes and beans. Doesnt seem like much food choice....especially when I have picky eaters. Are there any other foods brought to the table? Thanks

We love it, the kids loved it, a great to do over and over. I don't really recall any seat that is "bad" per say. Just be ready to have fun. We were at WL last time and took the bus over. Short trip and we arrived in plenty of time.

That's it - it's served family style. I think you can request special things upfront, but you won't be given a menu.
