Absolutely worth it! Now, with the case of your grandson, the meats are bbq pork ribs, and fried chicken. Up to you to decide if he will be o.k. eating the other stuff I guess. We loved the show, and enjoyed the food. The beer and sangria (both included with meal) was a big plus too!

We are looking forward to trying HDDR for the first time in November. We are among the minority who love SoA -- love the food, love the show. I have been hesitant over the years to book HDDR for a number of reasons. We live in northern MS about an hour outside of Memphis, so we have an abundance of BBQ around here, and w're kind of BBQ snobs. And BBQ is not unique for us. Also, being in the foothills of the Appalachians, there is no shortage of corny, slapstick "Comedy Barn"-type shows -- not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just that, again, it's not unique for us. However, after reading all the positive reviews over the years, and because my parents will be with us on this trip, I decided to book HDDR instead of SoA or WCC this year. I hope we love it as much as we do SoA. I did book Cat 1 seating for the last show with the DDP.

Even though I'm from Michigan, I'm a BBQ snob as well since I do all my own true BBQ ribs and pulled pork. Just go into the show knowing you're not going to get your favorite BBQ ribs like back home. The ribs are still decent though, and the fried chicken is well prepared. All the other sides are excellent too. The show is a total blast with great crowd interaction and slapstick comedy. I think you'll love it.

The HDDR is the best show on property, but not worth 2 dining credits....I'd pay out of pocket and save the 2 dining credits for a better meal elsewhere...2 credits for chicken and ribs is a high price to pay where as you can take or keep them 2 credits for a huge steak elsewhere and another one some where's else....

They have a fantastic vegan portabella mushroom grilled veggie plate if you ask for it. I've had it and it was darn fine!

We love HDDR! We've gone several times and while the type of food isn't our first choice (it's fine- not great, not bad), the show is guaranteed to make you smile. We've been a part of some of the "interaction" and although I was totally mortified in the moment, I still look back and laugh. We've made some really magical Disney memories there, and I hope you go and do as well!

I agree that it is worth the 2 credits, especially since it includes the tip. We've always had a great time and like to go back every 2 years. We book category 1 for the last show. Last visit they asked us if we wanted mac & cheese right when they took our drink orders. It was sooo good. I think my niece could have just eaten that all night!

The only meal/show my boys (4 & 8) asked for this coming trip. They loved it and I love making them happy!
