Hi
Have any of you Brits been to the Hoop-de-doo Revue at Disney? I know that the American participants on some of the other disboards just love this dinner show, but I was wondering what Brits made of it when you've been.

Do you have to love Country and Western music to enjoy it? It says it's participative - do you need to know American songs?

I'm thinking of taking my extended family (Mum, Dad, Granny, Brother plus 3 friends) when we are out there in May. Is it something you've enjoyed? Or was it all too much?

Thanks folks!

Miranda

Hi Miranda

If truth be known i'm a real misery guts and my heart
sank when DD Diane decided to do the Hoop-de-doo
musical extravaganza:rotfl:. Like you probably thought
that it would be mainly aimed at the U.S. audience.

let me tell you it was one of the best nights i've had
and i'm pretty hard to please. Did'nt want to join in
but found it infectcious. the food and drink were good
but the entertainment was exceptional:cool1:

I would definately recommend it:rotfl2:

We went to this some years ago.. very lively!!
Thankfully we were sat upstairs on the balcony, as DH was cringing!!
Me and kids enjoyed it, but don't think DH did!! Very conservative chap!
If you don't mind audience participation, go for it!
Tracy:thumbsup2

We loved it, I am not into audience participation and sat on lower floor but still really enjoyed the evening. Food was great just what I like to eat, would eat that any day over fine dining. Even better for us our friends that work at WDW paid for the evening.:cool1:
No you dont need to know any music.

I fancy this but any mention of audience participation would get the DW veto. Can you choose where to sit and is it easy to opt out of the participation bits?

We where at this show last July, and was a good nights entertainment ,DD10 loved it, plenty of food and drink.
We where sat 2 rows back from the stage, but when i booked it, tables where allocated when you booked . Now i think it is priced differently so work in Tiers. Would not worry to much about the audience participation, as only about 4 or 5 would be picked to go onstage.

Howdee,

The show is great. Don’t worry about country & western it’s more like an old style music hall show, with jokes, dancing and music for all ages. I went with my wife and our 6 yr old son and 2 year old daughter, all loved it. My son was picked out before the show to ring the call to dinner bell and had a photo taken. He loved the corny jokes. The food's OK and there’s wine and weak beer included.
