We have an ADR in Oct. for a 5:00 seating (grand gathering of 28) for HDDR on a night with a 8:00 Wishes, will we be able to make it back to MK in time to see Wishes?

It would be a stretch, but anything's possible. The second HDDR show begins at 7:15 so you will be on your way by then. Are you doing Dtransportation or driving?

For Dtransportation you have a few routes to choose in case one has a very long waiting line:

To Magic Kingdom: Walk to the Marina and then board the Magic Kingdom boat from the dock.
Alternate route #1: Go to Settlement Depot, board the Contemporary boat, get off at the Contemporary, and walk to the Magic Kingdom or take the Magic Kingdom boat.
Alternate route #2: Board the Crockett or Boone bus, get off at the Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC), and transfer to the Magic Kingdom monorail or take the Magic Kingdom boat

So it is more than possible if you keep everyone moving!

They run those shows like clockwork so you will definitely be done before 7:00, however, given the size of your party, to get 28 people over to the MK in time might be tricky. You'll be cutting it close but it could probably be done. And I would suggest seeing Wishes maybe back in Liberty Square if you want to all stay together. Maybe have a designated spot ahead of time, its likely you'll have to split up. Near the castle is a madhouse, I couldn't even find a spot for my family of four last week! But back in Liberty Square it was no problem.

If for some reason you do not think you guys will make it back in time, the beach at the campground is a great palce to watch the fireworks too. My kids love doing this. It isn't the same as watching them in front of the castle but it is better then not seeing wishes at all! :goodvibes

We watched the fireworks last year on the boat from MK to WL and FW. Had to turn around to see them, so if you run a little late, if you take the boat, you should be able to see them anyway.

We love watching the fireworks and boat parade from the Fort's beach after HDDR! They have some fun hammocks for the kids too. And I'm pretty sure they play the music at the beach... Not 100% positive, but I think I remember hearing it.
