Hoop De DOO reservations

We will be at WDW next month and would like to go to Hoop De Doo. We are on the DDP and would like to go to either the 5:00 or 7:15 show. The problem is that they only have category one seating left which is not included in the DDP that we are on. They have category one seating openings every day of the week we will be there.

Do they ever open these reservations to people on the DDP or would they rather not have these tables used?

Is there a waiting list to try get on?

Can I pay the difference out of pocket to sit in category one versus what category two or three would cost?

The 9:30 show will not work for us.

. . . they do unused rather than DDP
. . . but, you would be surprised how they will fill up
. . . by the time o the show, there will be only a few open Cat-1 tables
. . . if any
. . . regardless of what people say, Cat-1 is superior
. . . so, they usually get sold

. . . you either have a ticket, or keep calling for a cancellation
. . . too much trouble trying to go down a wait list
. . . if no one is home, how long do you wait for a reply?
. . . it gets complicated

Can I pay the difference out of pocket to sit in category one versus what category two or three would cost?

. . . you either do DDP or pay OOP
. . . if they did let you, do you pay against Cat-2 or Cat-3?
. . . it is easier to just say DDP or OOP

Just to build on what Rusty said about the tables going unused, they won't open it to DDP. Instead that will move people from Cat. 2 into the Cat. 1 seating and people from the Cat. 3 seating into Cat. 2 seating to fill in the floor as best they can. So, even if they don't sell out the Cat. 1 seats, no Cat. 1 table will go un-used.
