Which do you think has better food?
better experience?

Which would you pick and why?

Thanks so much, Jen

I haven't been to either but the reviews are much better for Hoop Dee doo so that's the one I'd pick.

For experience, go with the Hoop Dee Do. It's priority seating with reservations a must. The BBQ is first come, first serve. If you can get the Hoop Dee Do, go that route. We've seen it twice and it's fantastic...and that's not even mentioning the awesome food. Ribs, Fried chicken, corn bread, corn on the cob and strawberry shortcake to top it off....

Well, food aside - here are some things you should consider.

Time of year? - I have heard that the BBQ can be COLD in the winter.

Type of service? - BBQ is a buffet, HoopDeDoo is family style brought to your table. I dread the thought of a buffet line with small children. Too much to carry.

Characters or show? - If you want characters, you have to do BBQ, if you want a fun show, go for the HoopDeDoo. I, personally, think there are better character experiences out there.

So, IMHO, I choose HoopDeDoo. My kids love it, I don't have to run back and forth to a buffet line, it's a laugh a minute, and it's temperature controlled.

We have done both, did the Revue yrs ago and we were seated by the kitchen door off to the left of the room. The show was good and the food was plenty. We did the BBQ on our honeymoon in 02 in june and that was fun.We had a blast and the food was good as well. The kids were running around the characters were out a few times the band played and the all u can eat and drink was a plus. The price was a lot better then the revue. U can only answer ur ? by trying them out and seeing which one u like better.

We have done both. HipDeeDoo Review was MUCH better. BBQ was picnic style serve yourself and SO LOUD, we left before it was even over, the couple next to us ate and left she was worried about her kids, they cried because it was too loud. DD is a little to old to dance with the characters, so she just sat there the whole time. The HDDR is inside and they bring the food to you, (which was a lot better in my opinion) it's like a comedy show and was much more enjoyable.
