Hiya.

We've usually paid oop for the Hoop, mainly to get CAT1 seating close to the stage, however I recently read a thread on the US Boards stating that CAT2 were just as good and all seemed to get a good view of the stage.

Anyone else use the DDP to go to the HDDR and if so what where your seats like, and were where you sat.

I'm slightly nervous of risking been right at the back of the hall with us having to younger children with us, and them not been able to see to well.

Thanks again :flower3:

Been 3 times, twice while on DDP,.
1st time we were sat just about where it says Cat 2 to left of hall, 2nd time just above that where the white lines are.

Personally I would not pay for it, going again this August on DDP (15 of us) but I think its a lot of money to pay OOP. I think the hall is small enough to enjoy wherever you are sat but if you have been before you know what you want and you can see from the plan where you could be sat.

we've been a couple of times on DDP and have a good seats. We were near the back of the hall but our table and chairs were higher than the ones in the front of us so we still had a clear view. My dd was 4 the 1st time she went and she could see great

We went last year using the DDP. We had never been before and thought it was a good way to use some of our TS credits. Seats were fine, with good view of stage and performers, thoroughly enjoyed it. One we will most likely now do again at some point.

hey,

When making my ADRs yesterday I found that because we booked the 9:30 HoopDeDoo, you can get Cat 1 seating on the dining plan :goodvibes

Yup, that's always been the case. We all work random shifts, so are very used to eating dinner at 10pm or later, so we always go for the 9.30pm sitting, either on DDP or OOP and always get Cat1 seating.

When we went last September, the place was so quiet at the 9.30pm sitting that only half the floor was taken up. No one under the balcony, no one on the balcony! It was great because when the guys wonder around, they had only half the room to wonder that they usually do, so it was a very close and personal experience that time! You couldn't turn around without a character being no more than a few tables away!

Just clutching at straws...didn't think you could :cool1:
I think we are going to go for it anyway, will be a nice way to use the TS credits we dont use while we are at US/IOA

Hi, I'm just in the middle of booking this, I have logged on with my disney reservation number fine, stated I want to use the dining plan and picked the correct time that allows for the DDP but it is still asking for my credit card and pre payment? :confused3

Even on DDP you have to enter your credit card for some of the meals, Hoop is one, CRT is another, I think I had to with another also this time, not sure now. Its so if you are going to cancel you don't just not show up, you have to ring and cancel to stop the CC payment.

So just to confirm, me being thick an all, they won't actually take the payment, just the cc details? :)

Correct. The CC is just a guarantee, in case you don't turn up or cancel too late. That way, if you do either of those things, they can charge you and they don't lose out too much!

They HAVE taken the payment:headache: I have put another post on the DP page, and then rembered where this one was. PLEASE can anybody help, they have charged £123 to my credit card which I really can not afford right now, the only telephone number on the confirmation is in America, I have replied to the email and just hope they respond, otherwise not sure what to do! :confused3

Have the definitely taken the money or put a block on it? Often Disney put a block on the money but don't actually take it.
If they have taken it then the only other explanation is you(or the system) didn't connect your dining plan correctly to the reservation. Only way to know is ring Disney.
call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 but if you don't have free calls to USA then use a low cost number I use Telediscount, costs 1p/min to ring USA. http://www.telediscount.co.uk/index2.php

Hi Wayne, glad you saw my post. Yes, the amount is on my credit card statement. I wasn't sure if to ring Tesco and get them to return the amount, I have done that before when Alamo car rental tried to double charge me! I will have a look at your link as I don't get free calls and was worried how much it would cost to ring. I did double check that it was attached to my dining plan.

It was too late to ring last night so I am going to try in a mo with the link you gave, will get back asap,
