O.K., give me your oppinions. How do you get good seats, is it based on when you make the ressie? I am panicked about that because I didn't realize you could make them 2 years out and I just made ours for June. Are there bad seats? Is it worth the two credits, or since we're on the dining plan would we be better off eating two other dinners elsewhere? I am excited to try something new but hate to loose 2 credits on one meal especially when I want to try LeCellier. We have a 5 year old and a 2 1/2 year old, will they enjoy the show?
Thanks!
Lesley

This is one of our favorite things to do at Disney. The food is good for what it is, Fried Chicken, ribs, etc

I think the seats are set up based on when you book it but once we booked it 3 weeks in advance and had seats in the middle of the floor.

I would like to know the answer to this question myself. We were first in line and had booked our ressies in plenty of time and were upstairs way in a corner.

My 2 year old loved it more than DH. She really got into clapping and laughing.

I don't think there are any bad seats - some are farther away, but it isn't the kind of show that you need to be up close.

There's also a bit in the middle of the show when the performers come out into the audience and visit with individual guests, so no matter where you sit, at some point the show will "come to you".

As far as I know, tables are actually assigned when your reservation is made, even though you aren't told where the table is. (The CSR making the reservation may well not even be able to see the assignment.) Partly it's based on the size of your party, in addition to how early you reserve.

When in June are you going? We will be there on June 7 for the second show. We also questioned if we should go or not. I am happy that we decided to go. We plan to share some meals so we can get every place that was requested.

One quick question, I've seen pictures of both corn on the cob, and the corn mixed with peppers etc. which one do they actually give? or do you request one or the other?

We are going for the June 16th show, should be fun! OMG, you just reminded me about the sharing option. I also remember now that last year I just paid for my son and we used his credits for our adult meals, GREAT IDEA. Thanks for the reminder!!!!

Same here last December. We booked our ADR in Sept and were still put upstairs, but it was still great! DS Jordan was part of the show, he did the Tarzan yell :rotfl2:

I think it's definitely worth the two credits. It's more an experience than just a dinner. And, the food is good (not fancy) but really good. As I remember, the corn was in a dish, not on the cob, but I was really too busy eating ribs to notice ;)

I booked my ressies around 6 months in advance and was on the floor, about mid-way back.

We made reservations fairly late, and we ended up with a table upstairs on the balcony, and it was a great view. The chairs swiveled round, so you didn't have to miss anything. Thought it was a better seat than one of the tables at the back on the main floor. The characters interacted with us just as much as the main floor people.

the lone dissenter, we thought the show was Dumb( OK for a short show but not for a whole evening) and we have gotten the same food at Trial's end for about a third of the price.

for us it's a did it once never again thing. sorry to be negative but personally i wouldn't want to waste 2 ts unless there wasn't any place else i wanted to go. in all fairness we did go with a family we didn't really like( long story ) so maybe that put a damper on the evening.

i'd go to TE for dinner and put the rest toward Cirque for the show ;)

We (Me, Wife, 4 year old DD, 15 month DS) did it Thanksgiving at the 7:15 show. We had a very good time. The food was good. The show was "Bear"-able. (you will understand that after the show :rotfl2: )We used the plan.
DS and DD both loved it. Clapping and singing (they did not know the words, and DS does not talk yet :rotfl: ).

We will not do it next time we go but that is because we are going to do some other show. It has nothing to do with this show, just want to try something else.

I have heard that tables upstairs are "mostly" arranged for odd number parties (3,5,7)? I've also called a few weeks ahead of a show and got a table front and center.

Don't think that is true, because we had 3 last year, booked in August for a Nov trip and had a table in the 3rd row, table 35 We had 5 people this year, booked in July for a Nov trip and had front row. Table 12. There are 5 tables in the front row. Both were for the first show of the evening. I think it really depends on how what other groups are booking as well and then cancellations as well. I would say that the front row is not the best seats, because you are always looking up at the stage and you can see them sweating, but definately the 3rd row was great.

We made our reservations the day before, and we were seated in the balcony on the end right above the stage. We saw everything just fine and had a great time. BTW--there were three of us.
