Hoop de Doo: Easier from BLT or Wilderness Lodge?

So easy to take the bus from WL to the Fort. I do this any time I am at Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge. It runs all day long. Most of the time I was the only one on the bus!

Last time we stayed at Ft Wilderness and were taking a boat back from Contemporary-Disney actually had boats running on both sides of the dock in opposite directions. So one boat went to Wilderness Lodge, Ft Wilderness and back to Contemporary and the other went to Ft first and then Wilderness. I was shocked because I was worried they may not have a boat running at all. It was during the holidays or busy season but I was excited to see it! We love the water taxis and try to use them when possible.
If you end up at BLT and worst case scenario they are not running boats that day, you could always walk or bus to Magic and then take the Ft boat from there.

We did it on Halloween this year it was great. First time going post Covid so it was nice to see it again. We took the boat from mk since we were at the poly. It’s a couple min walk when you get off the boat at fort wilderness. It’s on your right and you can see it from the dock. I wouldn’t arrive too early unless you plan to walk around the campground. There wasn’t much shade to sit in while waiting to be seated. We left the poly an hour before but we took the monorail to mk. Then walked to the boat to ft wilderness. Arrived 30 min before they opened the doors. Have fun and enjoy the show.
We are staying at Kidani this trip (AUGUST) and I am thinking we might do a later breakfast (around 10) at Ohana then head to MK for a few hours and head over to HDD for a 4 pm dinner. After dinner head back to MK on an extended evening night.

I have to figure out the logistics and the fact that we might really make that a long day. Eating 2 big meals with a gap of only 10 and 4 might be close.

Plenty of time to think about and get advice from others who have done this or similar.

I’d skip Ohana and do hoo de doo. Then do Ohana another day. You want to go hungry and that’s not much time in between. Also Aug will be warm/hot so keeping that in mind. I know my kids don’t eat as much when it’s hot.
