How does everyone feel about breakfast @ Hollywood & vine? Does anyone know if the characters are updated from what allears.net says? Jojo..who's that? I'm only gonna do it if the characters are from Disney Junior. Has anyone eaten there yet? THanx for helping me! =)

i LOVE h&v breakfast!! we don't have kids but it's a must do!! we've always had great service and great, hot food for breakfast. the characters are amazing with kids and circle a few times. best character interacation i've seen anywhere. they take a lot of time with the kids since its usually not overcrowded. we always get a nice spot for rope drop. between the coffee, the singing, and the dancing... it gets me ready for a fun day!

we don't have children and enjoy it every trip, so i can only imagine how much a child would love it!!

Did CB @ H&V on solo trip Oct. '09. I didn't know any of the characters (no TV), but breakfast was standard WDW CB fare.

Best benefit IMHO was if you finish before official park opening/rope drop, you stand at a rope by Echo Lake which puts you significantly closer to TSM to beat the running of the bulls. Think I was #10 in line but only because I refused to run.

in Dec, they had Agent Oso, and a few from the lil Einsteins, (sorry dont know their names). plus they had a "Jamie" or someone like that, that sang songs... I remember the Hot Dog song.

It was great getting into HS early and food was decent. :)

This restaurant gets a really bad rap but we like if for breakfast. We have done it quite a few times. I cant speak for lunch or dinner there. Current characters for breakfast are Special Agent Oso, Leo and June (little einsteins) and Jo Jo (clown from Jo Jo's circus). They have real people with the characters for a little singing and dancing in between the table visits. It is a good breakfast to do before park opening because at rope drop you are farther in. Is it the best breakfast? No, but it is good, entertaining and convenient. We keep going back :)

Jo Jo has not been at the breakfast since October 2010. Oso replaced her. The line up is:
Leo and June from The Little Einsteins
Handy Manny
Special Agent Oso

LOL!!! I love it!!! My poor husband gets to listen to me sing random disney songs too!!! Im sure our guys are used to it. Going over dining reservations are making us both crazy tho!!!

Do they do the same type of interactions for lunch? Was debating on a later breakfast since I'd heard such awful things about the food, but if the interaction is the same, the timing for lunch would be better for us.

I could be wrong but I don't believe they have characters past breakfast.
I will warn those with little kids that these characters, at least Leo and June (I haven't seen the Oso or Handy Manny), have freakishly large heads, and if your child has any kind of character fear, you will NOT want to do this breakfast. (Plus when we went the music was LOUD).

We actually had a wonderful breakfast at Hollywood and Vine Dec 2010. They had Agent Oso, Handy Manny, June and Leo. The breakfast selection was hot and fresh. During breakfast we had the best services. Our son loved it b/c the characters came to our table 3x times, he loved the dance/sing ever 15 mins and the musical parade. He loved the whole thing that breakfast that we wanted to back during lunchtime. We did go lunchtime but the food selection was not great and the character interaction was so so.

We just realized on our Memorial Day trip that we will have an extra meal. (Due to arriving late and an afternoon departure flight) This was the only character breakfast we could get at such a late notice. I am thrilled to hear good things about the food and the characters. DD loves Disney Jr and will be so surprised to see the charcters.

Characters at lunch and breakfast, no characters at dinner :D

The lunch food isnt too popular here on the Dis, but I know the look on my 4 year old's face will make up for any shortcomings the buffet has :D
