I have not seen much on hooks point wondered if it was any good ?

Anything else at the disneyland hotels that is worth checking into ?

I have done white water snacks and it was good.

We ate at Hooke's Point several years ago. The meal was part of the Candlelight Processional package. There was a special menu with only a few choices. I had some sort of chicken which was.... how shall I put it.... disgusting. It has been the only meal I was ever totally disappointed with at DL. I have not read too many other reviews but the few I have read were much more complimentary than mine.

Storytellers at GC has a nice breakfast selection. Their stuffed banana french toast is WONDERFUL!

We ate there last year. Food was good not great and way over priced. We won't be going back. What about Napa Rose, I hear it's a nice place to eat with very good food.

We went to Hook's Point in March. I was disappointed because the Unofficial Guide wrote it up as pirate themed, and it is definitely NOT (unless you count the kids' menu which folds into a pirate hat). The extent of their pirate theming was a rather ugly brass ship wall decoration over the kitchen counter area. I found it a blandly decorated, standard seafood restaurant and very overpriced for the quality of the food. For example, I had the sea bass - "Meticulously grilled, then finished in a sauteed spinach and spicy shrimp broth. $22.99"
(quote from the menu on Allears: http://www.allears.net/dlr/din/menu/men_hook.htm )

I love sea bass, and order it when possible in fine seafood restaurants because it is so delicate and delicious. This was awful, very dry. And the "sauteed spinach" was a bed of dry spinach that looked like it had just been grabbed out of a prewashed bag, no evidence of the shrimp broth anywhere.

I will say that service was very good, perhaps because we had the first seating at 5:30. We chose Hook's Point because we received a free 3-course dinner with our Costco package. When we declined dessert because we just really had no appetite for it, the server took off our youngest daughter's kids' meal to compensate, since we were supposed to receive a free dessert as part of our 3 courses.

I ate at naples and rainforest but was not impressed seems to me everything downtown disney is way overpriced and not that good.

BTW, we didn't get a chance to eat at Storytellers at GCH, although we stayed there. But I've heard nothing but good things about it. I believe the GCH room service comes out of the Storyteller's Kitchen, and we did have that, and it WAS wonderful.

hooks point is just seafood hmmm not for me not a seafood fan

Okay...so, I'm a total foodie, and reading reviews, I crossed Hook's Pointe off my list.

It just did not sound good based on price/reviews/quality, etc.

We are definitely having our anniversary dinner at Steakhouse 55.

It was between that and Napa Rose, and I just liked the way Steakhouse 55 menu's sounded vs. Napa Rose.

I've also heard great things about Storyteller's, and we're planning on eating there for either lunch or dinner on another night.

HTH. ;)

maybe I will have to find the menu to steakhouse 55 and story tellers
