Honoring Noah

TO ME LITTLE NOAH IS A HERO...

I can not get Noah out of my mind. With his adorable little smile that just lit up each picture, he has melted my heart in so many ways. His story has touched me so deeply, as it has for all of you. I have cried many tears while reading Nicole's blog. Noah was truly a miracle. It's obvious just how much courage and strength that little boy had throughout his short life and through all that he had to endure. I looked up the definition of a "hero" and read, "somebody who commits an act of remarkable bravery or who has shown an admirable quality such as great courage or strength of character". This not only describes Noah, it describes his mother and father as well.

This got me thinking about another way we could potentially honor Noah and his family. In "PEOPLE" magazine they have a section called "Heroes Among Us". I would love to see Noah's sweet smile there!!! I was wondering what all of you thought??? If we could get Nichole and Brad's permission maybe we could all send a message to the magazine (heroesamongus@peoplemag.com) and bombard them with thoughts of Noah!!! What do you guys think????

(I also got a card I will be sending, thanks for the address Maroo. And I will be donating to GKTW as well....this is just another thought)

Awww you just made me cry all over again Jessica. Thank you so much for all your kind words. I thank God often that my Big Give idea took off and that we are all able to "meet" these wonderful, amazing little heroes and their families. Seeing their smiles is everything! Their stories have changed my life forever and I am eternally grateful.

Awwwwww!!!! I imagine Jesus holding Noah tightly and welcoming him home with love. I picture Noah running and laughing and no longer in any pain...God bless him and his famaily!!!

Yes, I started the original Big Give on here and I was truly amazed at how many people contacted me almost immeditaley wanting to help. It blew my mind. I just felt like there had to be something I could do. It really has effected my life in a positive way!!

I am so glad to hear that you guys like my Hero idea. I think we should get Nichole and Brad's approval first. Do you think I should email them now???

I stumbled upon this thread the other day and read Noah's blog. I was drawn to his smiling face and read about his struggles. I was devastated to read that Noah had passed on and then saw that the family lives in a community close to my city.
I can honestly say that the story of Noah's life has touched me in such a way and I am very grateful for Nichole for sharing it with all of us. What a fighter Noah was and what an inspiration to us all.

I wanted to let you all know that I contacted Nichole about the possibilty of nominating Noah as one of PEOPLE magazine's HEROES AMONG US. I thought I would share her response to me, "Wow. I am so very touched and honoured that you would even think of this. I have no words. Our son completely encompasses everything about the definition of a hero. Nominating him is a wonderful way to honour his memory. Thank you so much.

I just emailed my letter about Noah to PEOPLE magazine, along with a link to "Noah's Journey". It would be amazing if we could just bombard PEOPLE magazine with thoughts about Noah. Noah was truly a miracle and an inspiration to all. Noah shall never be forgotten. Let us help share his remarkable journey with as many people as possible!!

I am Nichole's best friend and have been following her wishtrip story here... and yes, they are an amazing family. I love how this community has fallen in love with Noah and that you are so willing to honour his short life. I'd like to help you out anyway I can. My Bean was SO special to me too.
