Our family is going to Disney in June, and due to a split stay, we get two sets of magic bands.
My Grandma was one of the biggest Disney fans ever. The reason as kids we got to go almost every other year was because Grandma wanted to go, so she would bribe my mom by helping with expenses.

She passed away a few years ago. The year after she passed we were actually in Disney on her birthday, at her favorite park (it wasn't planned that way). When we realized it, it just felt right.

Anyways, I had a probably silly plan. I'm ordering one of my magic bands "for her". Her favorite color was blue, so I'll get that color and put her name on it. I realize it sounds silly, but it's something small that I can help have her "with me" as I visit. :o

What's silly about that? I think it's cool. Have fun and honor the great memories!
I plan on it. When I get back I might put it next to a picture of her in a frame. My mom has a coke can with her name on it. I miss her, but I know she's in a better place. But its nice to remember her :)

I think that is awesome. I think honoring a memory is a wonderful way to carry on a legacy.

My Grandmother used to bake the bread on holidays the old fashioned way none of that mix or machine. So I make it her way & am now teaching my DGD (DIL too) how to do it. Right down to letting it rise overnight on the front porch(enclosed of course) with her wet towel on top.

I Love this story!
I have already told my kids that I would like to celebrate my 100th birthday:cake: in the MK. I hope I make it to my own party!
I think you are a real sweetheart to wear the MB in your Grandma's memory. Her spirit will be with you on this very special Disney vacation.
