Hong Kong Disneyland's Problems

"What impressed me most is the toilet. It's really good," said Li.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry at this statement.

I would keep all Disney parks in the USA. It is an American treasure and should always stay here. :tink: :tigger: :maleficen :goofy: :figment: :dumbo: :donald: :mickeyjum

Now come on. What about Tokyo Disneyland. That is popular and Tokyo DisneySea seems very well done.

we also have to remember here that Hong kong disneyland is mostly operated by the Chinese goverment and a private company. Disney only overseas the park. The major issue i saw with Hong kong disney land was they built such a small park for a country with such a large population.

I wish they would do a couple more disney parks in the US. Anyone else with me?

I wish they would fix the parks they already have.

if they did build one, my two suggestions would be somewhere in the texas kansas area. or up in the montana michicgan area. but both locations would cause a major draw on the two locations now. so.. i dont' think it's going to happen, unless they make something totaly different then what they have now. such as the America park, that would have been succesful, had it not been stonewalled because it was very different, and it wouldn't have drawn numbers from florida.

I would love to say yes, but until they re-learn how to actually build a Disney park, I have to say no.

Which is a potential issue unto itself. In Japan, there's the OLC who we have seen has no problem continuing to invest in the parks. I don't know much about the private company in question in China, but one has to wonder about what kind of partner a Communist government will be over the long haul.

No matter how the thing is structured, its Disney's name on everything. Nobody is blaming the Chinese government for the size of the park or the poor planning.

Whose going there? First of all, the weather precludes half the year (3/4 of the year in Montana). Secondly, there is just isn't enough tourism there.

well as you recall there was nothing in the orlando area until Disney anouced he was building a park there. montana is big and has room for expansion. I was just thinking of a viable location in teh north other than newyork.

Disney Land Brazil... anyone who has been to WDW during July will agree with me on this one :)

Its way too cold in Montana or Ny for that matter. Nobody will go in the Winter.

no offence to brazilians but if they take care of it as well as they treat ours here in florida it wouldn't last long. No character would be safe.

In my travels in China and Hong Kong I don't recall seeing one fully automated toilet that flushed itself.

If you have experienced the average Asian toilet you would totally understand the statement. 1) Eastern toilets are not always as private as their Western counterparts and 2) are often times just a porcelan (sp) ditch with water running through them, 3) considering the two previous statements the locals like to stand around and watch and giggle as western visitors try and "use" their toilets. Believe me when I say, I learned very early in my travels to control my intake when I knew I would be away from Western toilets for any part of the day.
