Hong Kong Disneyland Pin

OK, so this item was briefly available in the Emporium this morning for 1000 credits. I happened to buy two before they disappeared.

Does anyone have any idea (or speculation) as to what happened and when (if) and how these pins will be released?

I hope they are not a prize for winning the maze, as then I have to try to explain why I have two already, but want another for finishing the maze. I could see a cast member refusing to award one in this scenario. (I sure hope this is not how the pin is to be released)

or, maybe the pin is supposed to be the final pin released in the set at the end of the month? That would be my hope - then I have a super rare pin to trade before it comes into release.

Any more ideas or speculation? (hopes/dreams/etc.)

I really have no idea and am as clueless as you. I was however able to buy one. I didn't see it the first time that I was in the Emporium, however when I saw the post here I went and bought one. It is really cool!

I am not entirely sure about this, but on the vmk site, it talks about releasing 1 of five pins each weekend out of a set of 5 for DLHK. The first was main street. Now fantasyland. My guess is they goofed and didn't mean to put that for sale since HKDL only has four "lands" to begin with. The HKDL Pin being the fifth pin in the set.

Doesnt the real park open on monday? Perhaps they didnt mean to release it until then since that is the last day of the event also?
