Some basic info to supplement that excellent trip report in the previous post:
Hong Kong
Disneyland is on the same island as the new Hong Kong international airport, about half an hour west of Kowloon (the center of the city). Getting there is easy. The way is signposted with Mickey profiles, and you can also take the subway, and then transfer onto the Disney monorail. A third option is to arrive by ferry - this will take you to the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, which is only a ten minute walk from the main gate to the park.
The park consists basically of a small Magic Kingdom. Apparently the idea was to start with the basics, and then gradually expand it (adding more rides and attractions to the Magic Kingdom layout, and also adding another park or two; there is certainly enough space).
At my guess 90 % of the guests are Chinese, 5 % are from elsewhere in Asia, and 5 % from beyond (the US, Europe and so on). English-speaking people shouldn't have any problems, though, since there are lots of signs in English, and all the CMs must be able to speak English. In addition, if you get on a ride where there is commentary, you will find that there are separate lines for Chinese-speaking and English speaking guests.
One of the nicest things about the park is the food. There are several restaurants, and it seems that each of them serve a different type of Chinese cuisine. What a wonderful way to get to know the food from this part of the world! (Not to worry, however, if you for some reason don't like Chinese: all the restaurants also have "Western" food on their menu.)
And finally - if this is your first time in Hong Kong, you are in for a treat. There is just so much to see in addition to Hong Kong Disneyland!
