Hong Kong Anyone?

Hey all,

Has anyone been to the Disneyland Hong Kong park since it opened recently? Just curious as I am hoping to maybe do a field Study through my college in China, next summer, and one stop is Hong Kong. According to the literature this summer there is some free time in each city we go to. My college does this every summer as we have a sister campus in China. We'll have to see what next summer brings.

I visited Hong Kong Disneyland last November during a 2-week trip to Asia. (I also got to see Tokyo Disneyland on that same trip!) Hong Kong Disneyland is pretty small. Being used to Orlando's Magic Kingdom, HKDL felt like half a park to me, incomplete. But I must say that what they do have is very well done. Their shows were entertaining, they added a surprise ending to the Jungle Cruise, and I loved their Space Mountain. (I suspect it is similar to Anaheim's latest version, but I can't say for sure, since they were still working on that last time I was in Anaheim.) I was surprised by the amount of English that was in their attractions, but I've heard that has been a major complaint of the locals, so I suspect that will change over time.

Even though the park is small, I would still recommend that you go, especially if you're a Disney park fan! I have some pictures in my pbase photo gallery if you're interested. (You can find it at the link in my signature, DIS won't let me post any links yet.)
