Honeymoon!!

Congratulations! I will be Disneymooning in September!

Let me know anything special you decide to do; I am still looking for ideas myself. I know I am planning on hopefully doing a carriage ride with my fiance, and trying to plan some fun meals. I look forward to hearing about what you do :)

I don't want to lose 7%, so instead of going through the Disney Honeymoon site I just created a link to the Disney wedding gift card page and suggested that people purchase gift cards either to mail to us or bring to the wedding! I wrote a short summary of where we want to stay and what activities we want to do so that people felt a little more involved. Good luck!

I'm doing a honeymoon registry through another site, plus a regular registry with minimal items for those who don't feel comfortable contributing to the honeymoon. We've lived together for a while and really don't need the typical wedding gifts, plus our apartment is too small for a bunch of new stuff.

I'm having a hard time figuring out where to stay. FI has only ever stayed at Pop and that was last year with me, but we didn't care too much for it. I've stayed at CBR and AKL. Honestly, I really want to try somewhere new and special, but I LOVE AKL. FI is no help because he doesn't care where we stay as long as we're in Disney World. I've thought about POFQ or CSR. I'm afraid the other Deluxe resorts will feel too fancy for me... what's a girl to do?

I too will be having a Disneymoon! Next month even! Le gasp!

I have a quick question or two. Is there a way to let restaurants know what you're celebrating when you make ADR? (Future)DH and I have reserved places on WME but didn't see anywhere to add a note.

If you are going to be there a while, it will be fun to do activities and tours together like the Wild Africa Trek. That's what we're doing for our Disneymoon.:thumbsup2

We are doing our Disney honeymoon in early November!! We are beyond excited and this post has been so helpful!!! :)

Honeymooning at Disney in October! We are doing the first 5 nights at Universal however, and plan to take a day from Universal and a day from our 9 at Disney to do Busch Gardens. SOOO excited!

My fiance and I will be on our honeymoon in WDW in late June-early July! We cannot wait! pixiedust: We have decided that we want to surprise each other with an activity or something while we are down there. We are staying at POR and I'm thinking of doing a carriage ride, but wanted to know if anyone else has suggestions??

Also...favorite places to eat? We already have reservations at Be Our Guest, but I'd like to know other favorite places!

I am cling this thread!

We are honeymooning in October :D
We are in Scotland and haven't been to WDW since we were about 13!!! In about 2002!

Things will have changed!

We are going to take it easy but try and see what we can!!

We'd love a BOG reservation but are struggling at mo! :(

Going to get some of the bride and groom Mickey Minnie tshirts where they are kissing each other if you stand side by side (awww)

Not sure if anyone responded directly to you, but to make a note on your ADRs, you have to call the dining line - just tell them to add a note to all of your ADRs that it's your honeymoon. :) Hope this helps!

Future Disneymooner here as well :) We are making the trip in december and currently staying at WL. However, we are looking at renting DVC points to hopefully save some money. Looking forward to any tips you receive as they will be monumentally helpful to us as well. Congratulations!!!

Yay!!! So many Disneymooners!! We got married in February, and wanted to do disney in october because Halloween is DH's favorite holiday! And he's never been! We will be there the week of October 13th.

Congrats!!! This is making. Me so excited. I am also getting ready to start planning my Disneymoon for August 2015 - I know so far away still but I'm just so excited.

My family rad DVC members so I have spent a lot of time in disney world haha. One thing we are really trying to remember is to take this trip slower than we normally would. We will try to avoid getting on every ride and going commando style and take some time to find quieter places within the parks and resorts to have a moment to ourselves.

My absolute fav thing to do in Disney with my DF is to go to either the GF or e Poly (poly has a special place in my heart so I am biased lol) and grab a hammock, a drink and a cuddle with my DF under the stars. You can also watch the water parade from these beaches for a quieter night.

Hope you have an amazing time planning your Disneymoon!!

Congrats!!! I also am planning my disneymoon for this year, so looking forward to all the great tips. We are heading down on Thanksgiving and staying for 11 days. We got engaged around Christmas so I am really excited to go and see all the Christmas decorations because I think it will add some romance to our trip.

We are definitely planning on getting the bride and groom ears and the buttons. I also think we want to add some special events with a carriage ride and possibly the wild Africa trek for something fun.

But I think for a honeymoon it's definitely important to take some more time for relaxation. We are probably going to take a day just to check out the other resorts and their Christmas decorations. We also want to take the opportunity to try some amazing restaurants and different types of cuisine.

Good luck in your planning and I look forward to hearing what other good ideas people come up with!

My FI and I are the same. We've lived together for awhile, and have pretty much everything we could need. There is only a few things we wanted (ex; a kitchen aid mixer) but my Grandma already told us she's getting that for us. So I was considering putting down Disney giftcards as well. I'm just feel very weird about asking people to contribute to our honeymoon :/ My family keeps telling me it's not much different then us going to a store, and registering for things. But to me it is. But it would definitely be a big help. We're using tax money to pay for the honeymoon, and we're really hoping to get a house right after the wedding. So the giftcards would be extremely helpful for us.

What a great Thread :goodvibes We are planning our Disneymoon for this Nov. We will be staying for 9 days and ending the trip by running a the Wine and Dine together. I am normally a solo traveler but we will be enjoying the Food and wine together this year. It will be a late trip as we will be getting married in a few weeks but wanted the Honeymoon to be during a special time.

I got married at the wilderness lodge on May 19th. We stayed for 7 nights! There is so much to do, so make a list of must-dos for you and your his husband :) so many amazing places to eat (tell them it's your honeymoon)! Anything you decide to do wil be memorable.....take time to soak it all in :) I ordered a matching shirt set on etsy (mickey and Minnie with wedding date sown on) --- we got lots of attention with those!
