Day 6 Friday 5th November: Seaworld and the meeting of Kent
A friend of ours called kent was going to drive down from Virginia today to come meet up with us so we elected to do something that would give us a few hours rest before he arrived. Seaworld seemed a good choice.
The weather today has cooled off quite a bit too going from 91 ish of the last few days down to 70-73. so a park with a lot of covered stuff like seaworld seemed a good choice.
We got there fairly early thanks to the hotel shuttle and begun to make our way round the various exhibits. Was a little disappointed to find the keywest dolphin show closed but the otter and sea lion show soon made up for it. That show always cracks me up. From there we wandered round the manatees exhibit and played with the stingrays in the water as well as feeding the sea lions. There were some baby pups in there that looked pretty cute.
From there we then did the Budweiser hospitality centre and the beer school up there which is both interesting and fun because of the free beer /grin.
Then we saw shamus show which was nice but im sure they had a lot more animals in it last time. Either way it was still good. We then went over and did kraken which was a lot of fun and seemed faster than last time.
Because it was a cold day we opted not to do journey to Atlantis this time and caught the I-ride back to our hotel. Then we just chilled out and sorted some things out till kent arrived. I rang him about 5pm and he said he was still 4 hours out due to bad weather forcing him to leave today instead of yesterday so we sat down and watched some movies on tv. At 9pm we went and met him, grabbed some beers, poppeyes, and went to the room to relax and break the ice. Had a great time drinking and chatting though the poor guy was shattered after the 12 hour drive.
