Today is 90 days out for our honeymoon trip to WDW so I called to make our ADRs.

We got everything we wanted except one evening. On the evening of May 1st we tried for 50's Primetime cafe. It was all booked up. The latest they had was 4:55pm. That time was a little too early for us to eat a big meal since we have lunch scheduled at the Sci-Fi Drive in. So I asked the CM what about Hollywood and Vine. That also all booked up. She said they may be booked up since the May park hours are not out yet to try later. But I just thought of another reason. Maybe it's because it's the 20th Anniversary of Hollywood/MGM studios that day. They may be booked up for special guests or parties. I"m not sure, I can only speculate.

Also we wanted dinner reservations for Le Cellier on Tuesday April 26th. Nothing was available for that evening for a party of 2. So I remembered the trick reguarding Le Cellier. So I asked for a party of 3 and there was a slot open for 6:55pm. So as rumored, Le Cellier has very little 2 top tables. If you want you can ask for a 3 person reservation and you may get it like us. And no, I don't feel the least bit bad for getting my reservations this way. The reservation system is flawed in that way.

So here is a list of all of our honeymoon trip ADR's.

Sunday April 26th (Arrival day) Hoop Dee Doo Review Dinner 7:15pm Tier #1
Monday April 27th Keys to the Kingdom tour 8:30am, Liberty tree Tavern Dinner 6:10pm
Tuesday April 28th Le Cellier Dinner 6:55pm
Wednesday April 29th Ohana Dinner 8:15pm
Thursday April 30th Crystal Palace Breakfast 8:05am, California Grill Dinner 8:50pm (honeymoon dinner)
Friday May 1st Sci-Fi Drive in lunch 12:15pm
Saturday May 2nd San Angel Inn Dinner 6:15pm
sunday May 3rd (departure date) Chef Mickey's breakfast 7:10am

Oh how fun!! That is a tad strange about everything being booked at DHS. I bet it does have to do with a big party at DHS to celebrate or something.

Sounds like some great meals.

In regards to LeCellier, so you mean to tell me that if they have a 4 top table open and they take ADR's, they will not seat a couple at that table? Has anyone ever asked them about this? It just seems very strange to me...and very frustrating!

We have an ADR next month and I was able to get it pretty easy, but we are doing lunch and have 4 people. I have been a server in an up-scale restaurant for awhile, and I can't imagine telling a couple that we would not give them a table because "we would rather wait for a party of 4, even though you were here first and they came in AFTER you!"

That is exactly what they do. If you tell them your party is for 2, they will look for a 2 top table in there reservation system, they will not seat a couple at a 4 top table. They will wait to use that seating for a party of 3 or 4.

OMG!! We are coming in on the same dates and we have similar ADR's...what a coincidence. I have Lecellier on 4/28 at 7:15pm, and O'hana on 4/29 at 6:45pm.
Maybe we'll run into each other!:)

There is a good chance you will see us at Le Cellier. Our times are similar. I think we may miss each other for Ohana. You might be finished dinner before we get there. You never know we might be in the lobby waiting having a cocktail while we wait for our ADRs. Look for the couple with the "just married" buttons :) I can send you pic of us if you want, send me a PM. :)

Looks great, Todd! Just make sure the front desk cast member at the Polynesian gives you and Brandi the "Just Married" buttons right away so you can wear them the entire time. :goodvibes

San Angel is great for atmosphere, but as for food and service...eh....not so much.

If the Studios are closing early on the night you wanted 50's Prime Time, I guess there's nothing you can do. But if you wanted to try your luck, you could try sitting at the bar in the Tune In Lounge and eat there. But the problem is that people who aren't at the bar to get drinks will sit there waiting to be seated, so it's often a waiting game.

We most certainly will get the "just married buttons". I asked the CM this morning to add that information to our ADRs. But I'll remind them :)

We have eaten at San Angel on our last trip, and we both really liked it. Brandi especially.

The May park times are not out so I'm not sure what's going on that night. We might just wing it that night. We may leave earlier that usual and go to another park or resort and find something to eat for dinner elsewhere. We might check out the Tune In Lounge. We shall see. :)

Looks like you made great choices! Glad you got most of what you were looking for.

(It freaks me out that some of May 1st stuff was already booked...we're going May 2-9 and I'm terrified everything will be all booked, especially the Fantasmic packages!!!)

I can't call until Feb. 1st!!! :crazy2:

I ran into this last week when I called in some ADRs for clients for late April. HS restaurants open only until 6pm, no later reservations taken, and most of those available were the 4:30-4:55pm times. Seems kinda strange since HS was open until 8 and 9pm on the dates I was asking for.

Either Disney is intending to tweak the park hours, or is cutting restaurant times short to save labor hours. Maybe dining hours will be expanded as it gets closer. I sure wouldn't want to rely on CS at HS for dinner since the pickings are slim and unremarkable.

Myself, I don't like to eat dinner early. I haven't tried the Tusker House buffet or Yak & Yeti since they close for dinner so early. Lunch is ALWAYS Flame Tree for us, I love that place. I've thought of flipping lunch/dinner, but Flame Tree seems to close fairly early too even on EMH nights.

Yep--I am taking a solo trip and there were plenty of "four-tops" for the dates and times I wanted but no two-tops so ended up booking lunch rather than dinner.

We had a 5:55PM ressies for Le Cellier on a Fri EP PM EMH on the first day of the F&WF...... I am assuming this would have been an slightly bussier night, it certainly was in the WS. We are a party of 2, asked for party of 2... and we were seated at a 4 top table. Weird huh? Oh well... more arm and leg room for us.

Well I guess I finally found out why I couldn't make any ADRs at Hollywood studio for dinner time past 4:55pm on May 1st. The May park hours came out this weekend and Hollywood studios is closing on May 1st and May 2nd at 7pm!! Come on that early? I guess they have some 20th anniversary things planned those evening.
